Our Company History
In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter—and later, his wife, Edna—sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.

Genuinely the most gorgeous diary I've ever seen. I've never even held a book this wonderful.The cover is amazing, I can't stop looking at it and it's been over a week now. The paper is thick and lush. No ink bleed whatsoever. So carefully crafted, no corners cut. Everything's finished beautifully.I cannot believe it's so cheap, I would expect this level of quality to be easily £50 or more with the way every detail has been considered.This book will last for generations.It's one of those items you buy multiple copies of just in case they stop producing it.With the price as good as it is, I'm already back buying another before I've finished this one just to ensure I'll definitely have them in my hands.If you're debating, just get it. It's not expensive, and you'll be over the moon with the quality.

I have been using journals from Peter Pauper Press since 2010, and they have always been excellent. This journal is no different.The front and back covers are very sturdy, even after two years of daily use. The paper is thick and smooth, and ruled with light gray ink. I have yet to find a pen that doesn’t glide across it. The design on the cover is gorgeous, and is so much more detailed in real life than in the photo.There are only two things that I would change about these journals, and neither of them is worth removing a star: It would be nice if the journals would lay flat, and I really, really wish they would attach pen holders to all of their journals. I have an autoimmune disease and have to take medications several times a day, and I use these to keep track of what I take and when. A pen holder would make my life so much easier!I buy these every couple of years as a gift to myself, to make taking my medications seem just a little bit nicer. Whatever you’re using it for, I have no doubt that this journal will meet your needs.And, by the way, this is a real review, by a real person, who is honestly impressed by this journal, and paid for it out of her own pocket. No bull here!

I was looking to begin journaling and so ordered a few different ones to see which I loved most. I HAVE TO SAY THIS ONE I FELL INLOVE WITH. It was beautiful, elegant, and everything promised. Surprisingly, this was the least expensive but the highest quality. I see myself being a life long customer, and look forward to filling this one and move on to another beautiful journal. Would be excellent to give a gift. If it was given to me as a gift I would have assumed it was from an expensive specialty store or something like that lol.

It’s very beautiful diary/drawing/scribbling book! I’ve bought several and many more as gifts for family/friends! It is the perfect gift and a creative one to give as well. The beauty of this book could inspire one to write, draw or colour. The paper has very light lines so you can still keep your slant straight. Also, the paper is thick enough that you can colour with bright markers, pencils and it does not go through the page. It has a silk ribbon to separate the pages.And the engraving on the hard cover is unbelievably lovely, rich and inspiring. You will love these books and your friends, family will love to receive to use for just about anything.
