Is is exactly what I was looking for. It's very hard to find the actual black colored silicone now, all I can find in the stores is the dark grey stuff and they don't work as well.

I used this black sealant to make a connection between my rear bumper (on my Subaru) and my trailer-wiring plug. It's very goopy, slippery, messy stuff -- but once it dried the connection was excellent.There are tons of different silicone sealants out there. I like this one because it's black and, thus, matches my color scheme.Note that you can puncture the opening on the tube -- to get it going -- using the reverse side of the cap. That's a nice touch.

I'm usually a good driver, but on that day I wasn't. I clipped the curb and knocked a chunk of rubber off the side of my tire. The cavity revealed a good inch of steel belting. The steel was unscathed, but I needed to cover it. Inspection was due in the next few days.Fortunately, I knew about Permatex Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant. My mechanic keeps it handy for minor repairs.I filled in the cavity and you couldn't see the difference. I passed inspection without having to buy a new tire.As stated on the tube, "All-purpose black silicone adhesive sealant. Provides a waterproof, protective seal around metal, glass, rubber, etc. Designed for interior/exterior use. Allow 24 hours for full cure and maximum strength under normal conditions."
