Permatex Medium Strength Threadlocker Blue Gel Twist Applicator puts the threadlocker where you want it. The gel formula provides 'liquid-reliability' without drips, globs, mess or waste. This all-purpose, medium strength threadlocker is ideal for all nut and bolt applications 1/4 inch to 1 inch (6mm to 25mm) and eliminates the need for stocking expensive lock nuts and lock washers. This will lock and seal while preventing parts from loosening due to vibration, as well as protect threads from corrosion. Removable with hand tools for easy disassembly. Applied as a liquid or gel, threadlockers are superior to conventional lock washers, nylon inserts, and other mechanical devices because they secure the entire fastener assembly against loosening from shock and vibration by filling the space between threaded metal parts, curing to form a tough, adhesive bond and seal. They also seal the threads against leakage, preventing rust and corrosion.

It's blue loctite, not much more to say.

I like the gel. It stays where you put it, better than the liquid type.

Not a liquid that you drip on, but a thick paste like product that sticks to the threads and won’t drip or work itself off while you are trying to assemble a bolt. Less messy applicator tip than drip style.

Do you have trouble with loose nuts? Have you ever looked down only to find that your nuts have loosened up and slid down your shaft... of your bolt? Has your shaft (on a bolt) ever slipped out of the hole? Have you ever tried to screw something only to find the hole doesn't seem to be tight and won't hold your shaft (of your bolt) like it used to? Are you tired of loose and sloppy screws? A little bit of this product on the shaft (of you screw) before you put it in the hole and you won't have the disappointment of another loose screw again!Well, if you have trouble with your nuts being loose, or your shaft (of your bolt) coming out of its hole then try this product; it will keep your nuts tight, and it will keep your shaft (on your bolt) in the hole it belongs in. You'll be glad you did.

Works very well. Nothing backs out but screws are still easy to remove

This style of loctite is so much easier to use ... no spills, no drops, and stays where you put it. The container with its screw twist is so much better than a squeeze tube. This is my 3rd purchase of this product over the last 10-15 years. It doesn't dry up or go bad and it stays inside the tube until you need it without any concern of a leak.

Expensive, but excellent and long-lasting. Closely monitor the package, however, the turning part is easly broken and the product package tends to weep out the contents

This stuff is amazing. I work on computers a lot and often see small amounts of blue threadlocker painted on precision screws in laptops - particularly Apple computers.I had a lot of customers with missing screws from the bottom of their aging MacBooks so I started keeping spares with my screwdrivers, but I noticed the new ones also came with blue threadlocker on them so I decided to buy some myself and try it out.The gel tube seemed like the least messy way to use it so I bought a tube, now I use it for EVERYTHING including laptop screen hinge screws, bottom case screws, bicycle component bolts, suspension parts on my car, the shower handle that keeps coming loose - you name it I'll put threadlocker on there because it works. My bicycle handlebars start to vibrate loose one night riding down a large hill, so I tightened up the loose bolts when I stopped. As soon as I got home I took the bolts out and reinstalled with threadlocker. Now I can be sure I won't have to worry about them wiggling loose again.I keep a twist tube of blue threadlocker with my precision screwdrivers for this and all other screws I don't want to come undone due to vibration. It can be a little messy, but here's what works best for me:Usually I put a strong magnet on the screwdriver firstThen I put the screw on the tip of the driverThen I twist out a tiny bit of threadlocker and stick the tip of the screw into using the screwdriver as a handleAnd finally install the screwA bit of blue threadlocker usually squeezes out of the threads and builds up around the screw head, if it's not too much I just leave it there.I try not to touch the threadlocker with my fingers since it's sticky and will get everywhere. Even if you can't see it, your fingers will make everything very sticky, so I use it sparingly and try not to get it on my skin.
