The patterns are great, my kid loves them. Notice that the patterns are for big beeds where as we had small beeds so we can only use the patterns by looking at them and not by putting it under the placement

My kids love the ideas in this book! Variety of pictures to choose from. Tips in here (like how to make an item stand up) made my kids create their own items as well!

For $5, this was well worth it! My kids love making things with these patterns! Great rainy day activity. Had bought them one for Christmas, but they had trouble taking turns with it, so this is the second book we got! Make sure you get the clear, big square perler bead boards to go with it!

Fun templates for the kids. My 5 yr old boy spent hours making the giant cake; he loves playing Wii and other video games so thats pretty surprising and impressive. Worth every penny.

I got this book with several other Perler Products and this is a FANTASTIC starter book. There are fun, easy patters for kids.Both Girls and Boys would like these patters and there are a ton that appeal to both.I like the fact this book is spiral-bound so it lays flat and we can place our pegboard trays right over top. These pattern size fit the large pegboards.

My daughters love to do crafts, and they love Perler Beads! We can spend hours together sorting the beads, finding patterns, beading the patterns, and then playing with our new beaded friends.I was happy to discover this pattern book. It has 110 patterns for the large, clear pegboards. The advantage to these patterns is that the boards fit directly over the pattern so that they can see through the board directly on to the design. The book is also spiral-bound, so it sits carefully flat to make and keep the board straight.These designs also include three dimensional effects like ears that go sideways on the elephant, a stand for the ice cream sundae, a mane for the lion and even feet for the crocodile. These added dimensions make for a more fun, more interactive finished product for playing. Doing the craft is only half the fun! Playing with the finished product should be fun, too, and that is what this pattern book really brings to life.Patterns are suitable for both boys and girls - Birds, snakes, skunks, tiger, panther, giraffe, trees, unicorn, dragon, peacock, ships of all sorts, astronaut, rocket, trucks, cars, several photo frame designs, flowers, and even artistic shapes and patterns.I would recommend this craft for kindergarten through third grade. It makes a great birthday gift along with a big package of beads!
