I use these for my recipes as well as my work files. The material is thick and sturdy (not a cumbersome heavy thick); it's made well. Sometimes you get the flimsy plastic that is weak/cheap and won't hold up and the left hand side with holes is also flimsy and the holes tear easily. These don't and they hold up well! Very happy with this product.

These are decent protectors, but I would not call them heavy weight. I've definitely had ones in the past that were from Staples (not sure if their brand or someone else) that were much thicker and more sturdy.

These pages are much heavier than ones I purchased at Walmart... I preferred heavier, but was able to complete my task with them. I used a heat-gun tool and created pockets in the pages to hold my clear scrapbook stamps.

I was looking for sturdy photo protectors, these are the stongest I've seen. Though I needed a rubber glove to pull both side apart, they are tough !
