These pads are a great option if you need graph paper, for example if you are plotting out a new flower bed or doing some pre-planning of changes you want to make to your hardscape and need to decide proportions. I appreciate that the size (11x17) is much easier to work with than a typical 8 1/2 x 11 paper and enables you to be more precise and detailed. The paper is heavy enough that I don't think there will be bleed through, unless you are using a fairly heavy marker or felt-tip pen. The pen I used wasn't a problem. I haven't tested it yet, but I noticed that the grid is a pale blue, which should disappear if you photocopy your design, which is added functionality that I appreciate.

Big, beautiful graph paper. Great for sketching, planning, drafting, and in my case, creating cross-stitch patters. The grid size is a little large for cross-stitch purposes, but my old eyes appreciate the larger size. I recommend this.
