I’m in love with the convenience of my Keurig, but I also want to be more eco friendly. I ordered this measuring scoop when I ordered a reusable K-cup, and I am so glad I did. It makes filling the reusable cup easy and avoids the mess. It is a great gadget at a great price.

Everything about this little scoop works perfectly with your reusable k-cups. The bowl measures the right amount for your chosen cup size and when you invert it, the pouring side fits right into the pod for easy, clean transfer. Love it!

I love how easy it is to open the bag of coffee, scoop up a portion, close the lid, and fill the lined one-cup basket. But there are two problems. The scoop holds more coffee than fits the one-cup basket. If I pack it down, the Keurig will often stop pushing hot water through. If I scoop up the amount of coffee I need (or more than I need), some of the coffee will cling to the inside of the scoop or the funnel. So, the process must be: scoop up coffee, hold the funnel down, pour some coffee into the filter, tamp lightly, add more coffee, carefully return any unused coffee to the bag.Works, but not as convenient or idiot-proof as I'd hoped.

Great tool for easy use when loading my k-pods with coffee from a local roaster that does not offer them. Simple design allows me to scoop ground coffee, close the scooper lid and then direct the coffee into the k-pod with funnel-like precision! Easy to clean. Sturdy plastic design.

I saw itcas a great concept which would help me stop spilling coffee all over tge countertop. Wrong!! It's a measuring cup that has a funnel on one side so you can theoretically scoop the perfect k-cup amount without making a mess from a standard 1 pound coffee bag then clasp the two halves of the tool together then flip the funnel opening into the empty k-cup without making a mess. That did not happen as smoothly as I expected it would happen. I still made a mess and in some cases more of a mess than if I was to just tip the coffee from tge corner if the bag into the k-cup. Why woukd it be harder you ask? Because the tool has to be maneuvered into the slim bag either already in an open state or you have to open it inside the bag like a pair of chopsticks. You can't see what your doing once you put your hand in the bag. You either come out the bag with a full spoon or you could have only scooped a half a scoop which won't make a proper cup of coffee. Then you have to go in the bag again to get the rest which takes more time and measuring skills in the morning to get it right. So far I've pulled the tool out of the bag with excess coffee on and in the spoon and that coffee falls off and on to the counter and its frustrating. I've grabbed less than a complete spoonfull and now you need to eyeball the next spoon so you don't overfill the k-cup. Occasionally I get it perfect but its inconsistent at best. Too little leads to guessing too much leads to over spill on the counter. Bottom line it would work great in a open can of coffee. There is not enough room to maneuver your man sized hand in the slim coffee bag to get the perfect scoop of coffee every time. I still use it but it's a novelty not a full proof method of getting the perfect scoop as it woukd lead you to believe. I'm debating on sending it back to see if I can find something a little more user-friendly. Good concept for a can. But once you see how little working space you have in a normal bag of coffee you will understand to get it right on the first shot you almost need to be a surgeon with a steady hand or you coukd be wasting your coffee on the counter. Nobody wants that because it's expensive and it's too damn early in the morning to be cleaning up coffee before you had your first sip. Feels a bit flimsy too like a plastic spoon flexes when you press it against the sides of the thick foil bag or something solid wile operating the tongs. For me it feel like you might eventually snap off the tool while trying to rush to get that coffee out the narrow opening of the bag. A better design may be a metal mellon ball scooper style that you can push closed with your thumb after filling it. Once out of the bag the open end of the mellon ball scooper will be placed over the K-cup to be dumped in. Make the scoop smooth and metal so excess coffee slides off the tool back into the bag. Simple thumb push operation would work better. I was really looking for something like a drop funnel tgat the K-cup fits under that measures out the perfect amount then drops it into the k-cup via gravity. Anything is better than this cumbersome tool. I'm being generous with 3 stars.

This scoop was designed to take ground coffee and put it in an aftermarket K pod. It does precisely that - without spilling any onto the countertop.I expected it would take as much finesse as mechanical scooping to prevent big messes. It has a cup at the end which is part of the solid handle. It’s job is to scoop up the coffee.Does it!Also attached to the handle with a hinge a few inches back from the cup is a funnel that when lowered onto the cup by merely flipping it down, covers the coffee during transfer preventing you from trailing grounds back to the pot from the coffee container. At the pod, merely invert the pod, turning the funnel into the pod. The coffee slides perfectly into the pod.I use the bottom of the funnel cup to tamp down the coffee. Then I usually fill the pod again to the top - just barely getting the pod lid closed for all I put in.I expected the fit of the plastic funnel onto the cup to not be aligned and until you learned your device coffee would spill out between the funnel and the cu. It doesn’t!!First cup I scooped up the coffee. I then carefully ran my finger around the edge of the cup pushing the coffee back into the pod so it wouldn’t make a mess.Next cup I gathered a good full scoop of coffee, closed the scoop over the cup and transferred it to the pod. To my surprise, no coffee spilled out into the sink where I was conducting this operation. The funnel must extend enough past and around the top of the cup to trap and hold the coffee from pouring out when you invert the pod onto the funnel, then flip it dumping coffee. Tamp it down, add more or don’t.No grounds all over the counter! If you use the permanent filter pods with your own coffee, this is a very nice tool to make the task clean and easier.I’m about to order two, one for each for a relative and friend who like to use their own special brand and roast of coffee as do I.I highly recommend this product. It does exactly what it was designed to do and Carrie’s it off flawlessly.
