This worked the best out of the items we bought, it had fewer bubbles/imperfections and a quick dry time with a very smooth finish. I only wish it was more product for the cost... but it is so easy to work with that it makes up for it. Definitely was stronger than their 'Perfect Plaster' casting material.

Love the product, but Hobby Lobby sells the same size bag for $7.50 every day. I was surprised because Amazon is often cheaper than I can get in a physical shop.

I'm happy with my results with this casting material so far. Mix gently to avoid adding air when you stir. Also, if you tap the mold you're using after you've poured the material in, it will help get the air bubbles out for a cleaner cast. I had relatively small molds, so I just mixed in a dixie cup. Be sure not to fill the water too high so that you have enough room for all the dry casting material. Happy casting!

Good size, product went a long way. I used this in molds from the Happy Dotting Company for a kindness rock project, they turned out great. Only thing was it was hard to get all the bubbles out of the “bottom” as it settled and cured, so the backsides of the rocks have quite a few bubbly spots, but filled in easily and smoothed out nicely with a little bit of pink putty for filling in holes in walls.

I originally bought this so I could do a three generation handled with my mom and daughter but my daughter was not into it cuz she's a toddler so it was put off which I regret but when my Mom was on her deathbed and took a mold of her hand so that when she was gone and I missed her or just needed her I would always have her hand to hold and the mold powder made a perfect mold of her hand and when I casted it it created a very sturdy, beautiful cast of her hand I can see a refined line hair blemish beauty mark that she had. This is a great product as is the perfect mold powder

I LOVE perfect cast! In my experience perfect cast is great for a lot of things, my favorite being to make little figures with. I've been able to use perfect cast in most silicone molds, just prepare an amount (follow directions on bag) you think will fill your mold, pour "perfect cast" in your mold, let dry for 20-30 minutes, take figure out and (to be safe) let dry over night. Once it's had 12-24 hours to dry all the way through you can paint your figure with acrylic paint. It can be a lot of fun. I have also found perfect cast is just as easy to use as perfect plaster, and seems to be a little less fragile than perfect plaster(just as the bag advertises, it is stronger than perfect plaster). The Skull figure in my photos is one I made with perfect cast and you can see how well it came out, I tried to get a decent photo of the side of the skull so you could see how well the edges came out. The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 for the "value for money" option was because it's 3×1 ratio (3 parts perfect cast to 1 part water), instead of the perfect plaster ratio of 1×1. I wish we were getting more ounces of "perfect cast" for the same dollar amount since we have to triple the ratio. I hope I make sense, I'm sorry if I don't! I really hope this was helpful!

I like this very much. Only make sure you read instructions and if your room temp is cooler make sure your room temp water is not cold.I will buy product again.

this powder was VERY easy to use and it lived up to every expectation. i followed the directions exactly and poured slowly - no issue with pinholes, dried really hard and picked up a TON of detail from my mold. i even accidentally knocked over a cast on a desk it rolled off and hit the floor and there wasn’t damage. i wouldn’t recommend being as clumsy with your piece - you never know. i let it dry for about 1 month before painting (wanted to be 100% sure it was dry). would have liked more (any) instructions on best paints / sealers etc. ended up settling on testors clear coat to seal it (2 light coats sprayed) and then testors enamel model paints on top (2-3 very thin costs b/c the detail was important to me) then another coat of sealer. love the results of that combo. hope that helps someone.
