When you use small diameter leads you have to be careful about how much pressure you exert on them. I have used .5mm leads for decades and they are notorious for breaking. This is a pain. Key here is not to stress the leads. It is a larger lead than my usual .5mm, it’s .7mm. Not much bigger, but enough to make a difference in how it writes. Smaller than a .9mm, but thicker than a .5mm. It is a great in between size. I like it a lot for writing. Thing is you have to find a really good pencil to use. I suggest a rOtring which is of very high quality and there are levels in the brand so you don’t have to buy the most expensive one to get a great pencil. These leads are consistent and always of high quality. I wore mechanical pencils out, but this brand is always there to deliver a great lead. I wouldn’t bother if they weren’t. I’m fussy about this. You have to be when you write as much as I do. You must have consistent and reliable results. This manufacturer delivers now and will later as it has in the past. Buy with confidence!

I prefer the 2b over the standard #2 lead it’s softer and darker and seems to have less breakage.

Works great in my mechanical pencil. Does not break easily. Amount of pieces will last a lifetime. I’ll leave the balance to my great grandchildren 🤗 excellent product

These are my go to leads for my pencils. I write my notes and draw with them. They feel really smooth which is nice but i dont know if that affects the longevity of each piece.I feel like they dont last very long. They dont break often which is common with other leads so that was great.Overall, good feel and fluid writing. Not happy with longevity.

I have reviewed this lead before, but with the pack of 90 pieces. This is a bulk of lead! This pack of lead is going to last for a very long time for many reasons. The first reason, it does not break easily. So, a person with heavy handwriting can use this lead because it won’t break. You do not need to waste money getting the low-quality leads out in the store. One little stick of graphite will last from a couple of weeks to a month (depending on how much writing/drawing you do daily). Secondly, it is a great choice for art. As a cartoonist, I need something dark enough so I can see it, yet light enough so I can erase any mistakes. That is pretty helpful when writing as well. I tend to make a lot of mistakes in math, and it is easy to erase because the lead is highly erasable. Thirdly and lastly, it can fit any 0.7 mm mechanical pencil. This means you can use this lead for your favorite mechanical pencil that can hold 0.7 mm lead (mine is the Pentel Graphgear 1000 in 0.7 mm. Y’know for cartooning.). This box of 360 leads is a bang for your buck. You get a lot for the price and it will surely last you a good couple of years. All I know is that I won’t be buying lead for a while because this box has my back. I HIGHLY recommend this product if you are a person who needs a lot of lead (like me because I draw a lot! 😅).(all art shown in the photos belong to me)

I break the 0.5mm lead size too easily, so I need the 0.7mm size. Arrived promptly and they work - I mean, it's just lead. Not too much to say about it, but the package was in good condition upon arrival.

I wasn't too sure about spending $13 on lead, of all things, but decided to take the plunge since I just got a fancy new pencil from Pentel (the Graphgear 1000) and wanted to support it with quality lead. This lead resists breaking, I've used one stick so far and had zero breaks! With the Up & Up brand from target I was burning through sticks from breakage. Also this lead is significantly darker than the Up & Up lead. The downside is that it is softer lead but I can live with that; it just means that you'll have to click a bit more often. I love how dark and clean the lines are without having to apply pressure. I got this box of 12 tubes and I am fairly certain that i now have a lifetime supply of lead- I just hope I don't misplace my fancy pencil!**Update- 3 months in and I'm convinced this is the best lead on the market. No, in the world. NO!!! In the UNIVERSE!!!The lines are still crisp and sharp which makes erasing mistakes slightly harder. I always have an eraser stick with me anyway so thats a non issue for me but you might want to be aware of that. I press hard though so that contributes to the issue.**UPDATE** I bought this in April 2013, its now September 2014 and I still have lead-a-plenty. That's 4 semesters worth of writing and I'm about halfway through with the box.
