I love this pen and pencil in one. I use it daily. I prefer 0.7 nibs instead of 0.5, but the nib size is forgivable considering the convenience of having two ink colors and a mechanical pencil all in one tool. Sadly, there is no eraser. I hope there will come a time when we can choose between more colors of refill inks. For now, I’m content to appreciate what EnerGel is providing. They are always quality pens with smooth ink.

The body of the pen is lighter because of the hard plastic construction, which has me worried about how fragile the pen may be when putting it in my pocket.I like the paired down color options, as well as non-colored tabs on the pen, making it even easier to replace with another color refill.If this pen is for you, keep an eye open for deals for ink refills. Currently, a 3 count mix pack is above $5I would not recommend for anyone that does more than an average amount of writing. In the short time I have had the pen, I'm about to start my third non-red ink cartridge.If you have used any other form of Pentel Energel pens, they have the exact same writing style. I believe the downfall of cartridge longevity falls with the cartridges in the 2S being smaller than traditional Pentel Energel pens.The 2S model has a pencil which is nice, but not a built in eraser.

I wish I had this when I was in school. It writes well and fits good in my hand (though I do have fairly large hands). I have actually shpwn it to a couple people as weird as recommending a pen might be, but it has actually gone over well. Being able to have 2 colors at the ready is nice, and the pencil is great as well.

I thought I was ordering the 3, but just realized this is the 2S, two inks and a pencil. It actually helped answer a question I had on the 3. The top button is free to push, but with the 3, it seems useless. Apparently, you can convert it to a 2S by replacing one ink with a pencil cartridge. The purpose of the top button is to push out the lead. However, no eraser is included on the 2S. So, my husband suggested I better know what I’m going to write before I do, no eraser to correct mistakes. Overall, I will likely convert the 2S to a 3 by replacing the pencil with another ink. Although I’ve read the ink does not last log, I’m happy with the quality of the ink, and it dries fast. I will be using one for my planner and the other at my work desk. I’m not a prolific writer, so these will work just fine. There is comfortable rubber grip and the pen is not very bulky. I think this is a good buy, if you’re not expecting the same ink life of a regular, single barrel EnerGel pen.

I've had the pencil for a week now. The mechanical pencil hasn't jammed and both the pens write smoothly. This is my third pen/pencil and I think this one is the most reliable. Moreover, the grip is comfortable and it is easy to switch between features.

Belle expérience écrire avec ce stylo. Pointe fine, l'encre coule doucement. Et il y a deux couleurs d'encre et un crayon à mine. J'aime bien les produits Pentel.
