This diameter of the o-ring is too small for the Pentair Nautilus NSP-72 DE tank top.

It seems that Pentair has corrected the issue with the o-ring diameter being too large. It fit my Nautilus (48) perfectly. I actually had to roll it down the tank to take the photo. The rubber material is firm, dense, and approx 1/2-inch thick - all as it is supposed to be. Also note - the correct format for the material is indeed round. The ring will compress to a flattened or wedge shape after time under clamping pressure, but it is not manufactured that way.

Slightly smaller than the original. Took two people to "Stretch" it around. But it fit good and did not leak.The pool "stealer" wanted $60.

I have a classic stainless steel PacFab NS48 DE filter, and learned the hard way that Pentair is incorrectly cross referencing this part #152127 as a compatible o-ring. If you try to use this one, it is about 1” too big.Many suppliers also sell part #O-184 listed as compatible with PacFab NS series. However to my amazement I found that each brand of O-184 is a slightly different size!Determined to find one that fits, I ordered 5 different o-rings from different brands. I found one that fits perfect. The package says “90-423-1184 O-184 Generic.”I also bought the one from brand Super-Pro “O-184-9” and that one is too big (just like the one on this product page).It is crazy that Pentair and other suppliers are cross referencing different size o-rings under the exact same part numbers.I hope this helps someone get straight to the right part number for the classic stainless steel NS DE filter.
