Everything I could ask for in a rifle case. After finally biting the bullet to upgrade my rifle, I now see a need to properly protect it. The solid foam in this is annoying to cut, but ultimately worth it in the end. This thing locks up so tight I read that people should add absorption packets to the interior.Very pleased with this case, I feel perfectly comfortable placing my rifle in the box of my truck with this. The only problem is now I can't see myself buying anything either than pelican cases for my other toys. Thanks for a great product

As it is with many other things in life you get what you pay for. This case is mechanically and ergonomically sound and you can cut the foam however you like it. Seems like an ideal solution to me save up your money and buy! Water proof, heavy duty, and overkill but worth it. If your weapon has alot of money in to why put it in a cheap case this has the protection i think you wont regret paying for. I have had a number of cases but none as well done as this. It is very well thought out and can take some severe abuse. I travel around the country on hunting trips each year and I needed a gun case that could hold two guns securely without fail. The three levels of padding allow you to customize the interior pad and really hold the gun secure. It is a "vault".

1st off, ABCD Sales was awesome and the price was right. After receiving my 1750 case I immediately began positioning my firearms until I had a good configuration and then marked my layout with a Sharpie. Using a woodworking knife for the fine work and an electric carving knife for the rest, I managed to get it all cut in about 90 minutes. All total, I have a Springfield M1A Scout, a scoped AR15, S and W Shield, Sig Sauer SP2022, extra mags for all and a spare Ozark Armaments sight (for the A.R.) and a Maglula Loader all comfortably in one case. You can't beat that for usable space. I have to admit that it is now really heavy but having used Pelican cases in the past, I know my firearms are well protected. Yes, Pelican cases are "Pricey" but who really wants to put a few thousand dollars worth of firearms and accessories in a $50 case? I got what I paid for in quality and ruggedness. (Did I mention it is now really Heavy?) The Master Lock 140Q fit these cases perfectly!

I thought when is said comes with Foam that it would be the standard pick N pluck but it came with normal foam. No bid deal for me since I plan to have some custom foam inserts made to fit the rifles that I will carry in this.this is my third Pelican case of various sizes and simply I could not say anything negative about them. They are build like a tank. These are quality cases that I can travel even on airlines with 4K plus specialty rifles and scopes and have no fear of damage regardless of how much or how far the baggage guy wants to toss the case. The waterproof design is great for moving in all weather conditions without any worries about the contents getting wet or humid. The SS lock reinforcements look and function great for heavy duty padlocks. Wheels roll smoothly.Simply the best cases I have ever owned. They are pricey compared to other cases but if you want a case that will last you a lifetime and protect what ever you put in it, then you cant' beat the quality of a Pelican.

We used these as tool boxes in field support and withstood years of getting beat up, so when I was looking for a case for my rifle system I knew I had to have this case to protect my fire arms. Over the years I've only seen 2 problems with this case: 1) The old style latch broke off, which this one has the new style latches. 2) I've seen a wheel missing once and have no idea how that happened at all. Now that it's 2014, I believe these are none existent issues as those were more than a decade ago.We used closed cell foam in our tool boxes but this comes with solid open cell foam (not pluck-n-pick). This foam is easy to work with and I highly suggest you put a $12 electrical carving knife in your cart as that's the best way to cut this stuff out for your custom fit jobs. I gave a shot with some wire heated knives and it was just too sloppy and went back to the carving knife. The open cell foam WILL start getting crusty over the years as you pull gear in and out of it, so another trick is to get a can aerosol of Plasti-dip and spray that over the top of the foam after you've made your cut outs. Keeps it holding together much longer and has a great feel to it, great investment for the long run with this case.I think this is a great size for a case if you want more than just one weapon in one carrying case or a full system for the range. I have a 20" LWRCI REPR, 13.5" scope (with 2" sunshade), Atlas bipod, 4x 20rd Pmags, Glock 17, and 8x 9mm mags. Other shooters have a 16" AR-15, a shotgun, and a pistol for 3-gunning in a box but I just have other needs...but this is the case for 3-gunners I bet!In the top foam I just have a few orange Desiccant sardine cans (please don't buy blue-to-pink) and behind it just some ziplock bags of allen wrenches, star wrenches, range log book, tools that just come with hard parts, and a bore snake; Basic essentials IMO.I could rant on about this case, but in a nutshell: If you drifted onto this case or were suggested to get it, put it in the cart and do it. The knock-offs are still trying to put out a case like this in a cheaper price range but they just will never do it like Pelican does. If you were looking at the smaller Storm case, don't do it...you'll eventually want more stuff in one box and foam is only $20 at taht time. This is a very tough case, It protects your gear if you cut out the foam and place parts properly, and above all it is approved as a gun case as well as TSA approved. This last part is very important as not all cases that CAN hold guns are approved as actually being gun cases in some locations.

This case is awesome and is very rugged. I recommend this case to anyone who is serious about protecting their firearms. Big enough to fit two long guns shottys or hunting rifles. Great for ar + mags + pistols combinations. I fit two ar rifles in mine, a carbine and a mk12 rifle i just had to separate the uppers and lowers to make them fit and still had room for grips lights and something else if I need. To make good cut outs out line guns or objects with white chalk then cut 1/8 to 1/4 inches inside outline, this creates a good tight fit to whatever you are putting in there. I used a paring knife and it took a long time, other people use electric carving knifes and they seem to be the best way. The price on Amazon is hard to beat, it was more expensive at Academy and Cabelas plus prime made the deal even more sweet. This case is great cause u don't have to worry about your scopes getting knocked off zero or anything like that. You can get extra foam for other configurations. You won't regret buying this case pelican is a top of the line company, these cases are used buy the military too. Also the tan color is awesome not many people have them. I can go on and on all day so I highly recommend this product, great for airline travel too!!!
