Was a little nervous but ended up fitting my case perfectly. Was worth the price to simply go from shipping box straight to case with no cutting, trimming. All dimensions were correct, including depth (thickness). I highly recommend.

Had an old (but still very sturdy - these things last forever) Pelican 1550 case. Had used it for my cameras in the past. But decided to use the case for my new DJI Phantom Quad copter. Ordered the foam replacement, plucked out the pieces not needed. Now I have a solid case for my new toy - how else to protect such an expensive toy. Use Pelican cases and their accessories!

I received the replacement foam, and I actually like it better than the original Pelican foam! The pick-n-pluck squares were slightly larger, which gives the foam more strength. I was concerned that over time the foam would wear out and begin to collapse, but I think it will take longer than the original foam did.

The Pelican foam inserts work great. They are easy to custom fit and install correctly, and the foam seems to be of high quality. So far, I am very happy with all Pelican products that I have purchased, which includes 3 hard boxes, 2 buckles, and 2 foam inserts. I would be carefull not to purchase anything through Optics Planet though. I have made that mistake before and they sent one product 3 weeks after I ordered it, and the other product has not shipped yet and it has been over a month for a product they said they had in stock. Do not use Optics Planet.
