I purchased this foam to replace the beat up foam in my pelican case. Once I received the foam it had an overpowering smell and the foam was cut too large for the case. Even just pushing the foam in would make it bunched up and useless. All the sides were either a quarter to a half inch too big.

I was able to score a 1495 case in great shape for $4 at a flea market! You read that correctly, FOUR DOLLARS. It was locked and they didn't have the code so after about 15 minutes of trial and error, I was able to figure it out. I ordered the foam and it fits in there nice and snug, maybe a bit too snug as it crinkles up a bit on the sides. I would rather it be too tight than too loose. This will make a nice case for my BFR3030.

Foam was actually slightly large for the 1495 case so when you make cut outs (plucks) it actually collapses in on the sides. Foam is easy to remove and shape other than the one issue.

It is advertised for the 1495 case. The thickness is good. But seems to be short an inch in length and width. So it does not fit snug inside the case which is what I was expecting it to do. All my other pelican case foam is nice and tight fitting for width and length.For the cost it is not worth it at all.
