Excellent case, can store 6 CF cards,But does not have the foam formation to hold alternative card sizes in the slots.I did the test in the sink. I put it into the water 10cm deep for half an hour. it is waterproof.

Super confiable para mantener a salvo las tarjetas SD que utilizo para el trabajo. A diferencia de un producto similar de otra marca, en este case nunca me preocupo porque las tarjetas se caigan de su lugar al abrirlo

Hello there!I have three of these and probably buy more in the future. This is simply the best case for protecting or simply organizing your SD cards out there as the title states. I have many other cheaper ones and this one stands out. I feel some other similar cases out there are just cheap copies. I would stick to Pelican if I have important pictures or data to protect.Pros:Sturdy build and feels very strong.Excellent quality and materials.Water resistant.Compact size. Also available for compact flash cards.Cons:Expensive compared to other look alike's.The outside of the box will catch scratches over time.Only comes in one color so far. More colors would make organizing easier. Also does not have a label area. (this is important for someone like me who has a lot of SDs and needs to label these cases). All in all, even with the cons listed above, I highly recommend this case as I have had these for years and they still look just fine and do the job as intended.I hope this helps.Regards.

This is a solid case for compact flash cards. I've used a number of the larger Pelican cases and have found the quality to be excellent. As a testament to how tough Pelican gear is, I've relied on Pelican cases to keep expensive camera and video equipment safe on some pretty wild multi-day whitewater rafting expeditions in the Idaho wilderness. My equipment stayed dry and free of sand for several trips which is saying something. These CF cases are of similar quality. They are if anything over-built for the task. The hinge and clasp are heavy duty and the protective foam is cut out perfectly to hod my cards securely. The plastic case is thick and comes with an O-ring seal to keep water and contaminants out.The cards are easy to access, the labels can be read easily and I'm confident they will be well protected. The only draw back I see is the cases are a little larger that some of the aluminum and plastic card "wallets" that I have in my collection. If you're really short on space in your camera bag or vest, that may be an issue for you. That's the trade off for a much more robust case.Overall, a very nice CF case and well worth the money to protect your expensive cards and priceless memories.

This updated version of this case has been enhanced very nicely to hold 6 CF cards and has new soft-foam to permit easier insertion and removal of memory cards. The case is slightly larger and holds two more CF cards than its predecessor. I own three of these things now, whereas in the past I would have had to have four to carry CF 12 cards. One less case means one less thing I have to worry about keeping track of.These cases are wonderful, because they have a rubber seal all around the lip of the case, keeping dust and moisture away from your stored cards. The case has been designed to withstand falls from common drop-heights (about 3 feet or 1 metre) and not fail. These things really do protect your cards. If you're rough on your gear, these are for you.Sure, they're pricey, but don't let that sway your decision to get these. I've seen the competing brand, and I am not surprised that they have the weather-sealing, and their cases are good, but still fail when put to Pelican's standards. Another thing, is the competition's cases only hold four cards, not six like the Pelican cases do now.Get these, you'll be glad you did.

This case is great for keeping all my memory cards in place whilst i'm shooting weddings. It fits easily in a jacket or trouser pocket and means your cards are protected and always there when you need to slot in a new one.It is solid, the clasp is good and the cards fit very snugly into the inside.Would definitely recommend.

I bought this after buying the same type but for SD cards. I actually had more SD cards than CF cards, but I upgraded one of my cameras and no longer need the SD cards. I did get this one and another CF card. I also bought a SD to CF adapter and I will keep that in here. I will probably buy another one of these since this only holds 6 cards. I am sure I will have more than that. So far I have not had any problems with this. I will not trust that it is water tight, but I think it will help keep them safe and secure. I normally would just throw my cards in a pocket of my bag or in a small bag that I would throw in my case. I am satisfied with the quality of the product and I would definitely buy another one.

I almost didn't order it because so many reviews said it was way too difficult to open. Apparently this is something that the manufacturer has fixed. It opens easily with a quick pull and closes with a crisp snap, but would never pop open on its own. I wonder if they have changed the plastic that the case is made of, also, because this case is anything but flimsy. I feel confident that I could drop it off of a two story building without an issue. Also, the foam lining could not be better. It is firm (so I'm confident that the cards will be well damped against vibration and that it will provide ample cushioning against compression) yet the cards pop in and out perfectly. If I could change one thing I would make it a brighter color so it is less likely to be lost, but I know that color is a personal preference. Lastly, it is light and compact and fits comfortably in my hip pocket, which is where I prefer to keep my priceless memory cards until I can back them up.If you're looking for a CF card case for more than four cards, buy this one!

A couple of years ago I wrote to Pelican and asked if they could make their memory card cases slightly bigger to allow more cards to fit in. Looks like they did, but they didn't make it as big as I was hoping. Still, now you can fit 6 CF cards into this thing. One thing I noticed from their new design is that the inner card holder is no longer rubber, but a stiff foam type material. From my experience putting the cards into the perfectly formed recesses, I found the foam might eventually wear out. Since this is new to me, I can't say for certain, so I will have to test it out and see. If there's an update to this review, you'll know something is up.The latch on the newer cases are now VERY DIFFICULT to open. In a way, that's a good thing, because that means your cards will be secure. The seal around the perimeter of the case also keeps out unwanted moisture, so if this falls into the lack closed, it will float and your cards will remain dry. This is great, especially if you're out in the wilderness, in a pond or swamp, or even in a rain-forest taking photos.Comparing the cases, I see that the new cases are about 10% larger, than the older 4-card version. I will upload some pics for you to see what I mean.Quality-wise, if you've ever seen the Pelican product testing videos, you'll know that they design these to fall from a great height and survive. These cases are durable. My only wonder, is whether the latch will eventually become more easy to open or not. Right now I have to use my whole hand on it to open it, whereas the older model only needs one finger.Still, I highly recommend anyone getting this, because it is well made, built to last and a great value when you consider what it protects (your precious images).
