INSTALLATION
1. Turn off Ignition.
2. Keep your key fob (if applicable) at least 35 ft. (10m) away from your vehicle. This prevents your car from using power to transmit signals to your proximity key fob sensor.
3. Leave your driver’s door open for 15 minutes to allow your ECU to shut down completely.
4. Locate and disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug.
5. Plug in your Pedal Commander in line with your accelerator pedal assembly plug until you hear a “click.”
6. Make sure the cables are tucked in place so they do not interfere with your driving experience.
7. Place and mount the Pedal Commander to your desired location using the velcro and mounting bracket that's included in the box.
IMPORTANT
To avoid receiving check engine lights or other issues, it is important that you follow these instructions properly. Also, please ensure that you hear a “click” sound while connecting the plugs, as this signifies a secure connection.

Great way to add throttle response to your 4Runner! Doesn’t really add any HP but great response and quick when paired with an CAI, throttle body spacer, and pedal commander

The install in incredibly easy, a true plug and play product.I used this for a trip from MO to WA for the eco mode and I can definitely see the difference in gas mileage. Your not going to get 21 MPG from a 4th gen but 19.5 is reasonable.It changes how you drive considering you can actually speed up to make it down an off ramp much faster. The sport plus (the most responsive) mode is intimidating to say the least. Regular city mode is more than enough to get around providing a much more enjoyable ride.I suggest getting the pedal commander if your looking for a cheap(cheaper) way to get more out of your car.

There’s nothing to dislike about this product! For what you pay you will feel the power increase ,the response , I will say all the way turned up you have to be careful! It makes the vehicle very aggressive like it’s ready to eat the vehicle in front of you! I run mine on city mode turned up all the way ! It has four settings Ecco, city, sport 1, sport 2 . Each can be turned up 4+&down4- and they don’t over lap they just kinda almost meet like sport 1 +4 is 1 less than sport2 -4 ! If your ready for throttle response get this & fell up with 94 octane throw a fuel injection cleaner+octane boost . As Tommy Chong told Chechen Martin on up in smoke “kinda grabs you by the boo boo doesn’t it” ! It will definitely sink you up in the seat ! So don’t crank it up wide open at first put in on sport 1 and just drive it rite there for a little bit then turn it up +4 if you like that then just turn it to sport 2 ! Just straight 2 no + an see how big of a difference it makes if you like that then push it up +4 that’s wide open barely touching the pedal will jerk you yeah it is wicked! I have a lift on a v6 that stock would spin the tires on dry road not crazy bad . But with 33x12.50 mud tires it will sqweel like a pig and easy real easy ! If you get one learn how to use it an were to have it turned up . You won’t wanna be burning rubber in the city around the cops . Then the road conditions you might not wanna be all the way up on wet roads with curves or with snow and frozen roads . I wanna see how it does in the woods in 4wheel drive an low range . Probably have to be careful not to rip a axle or driveshaft out . It’s serious business if you want a good bit extra and wanna be in full control of just how much power your gonna get then I’d recommend this over anything I’ve did for performance this has the biggest bang for the buck now most other things we’re under 100$ each this on sale was around three hundred and a half . I’ll say well worth it I haven’t ever spent that amount and got the gains I have with the pedal commander ! Tired of sluggish pullouts tired of its all this ol hoopty will do to barely keep up or god this thing is sick you better get a tune up . We’ll get you a pedal commander it will be like damn bro you just blowed them away this thing is mean man ! That’s right it will make your ride literally chomping at the bit and breaking the chain on full out survival mode and on a mission to peal the asphalt up behind it . You will be blown away you will think I never in my life thought this thing could run like that . It’s like a totally different vehicle!

2008 4Runner Limited 4WD 4.7L V8. Blisten 5100s, 33s, lifted, LEDs all around...missing something. Then came along pedal commander. Totally Wow! A night and day transformational difference! This device ups the 4.7 V8 to it's full potential, no kidding. Device doesn't add additional horse power but definitely feels like there's more horses under the hood! Best mod before anything else! Got it on Black Friday for $239. Set it and forget it on city +4. 4runner seems to want to sprout wings and fly off to the moon. Thankfully I got another one for our 2007 Sequoia too...same settings. Installation was a breeze, simple plug and play 15 minutes. Both vehicles feels lighter and more responsive now.

Does as promised. Very easy to install. On default settings the improvement was plenty, no adjustments needed. The ability to adjust the settings from your phone is a huge plus. There are cheaper options that do the same thing so if this isn’t on sale I’d look at other options.

great item. Don't understand why toyota doesn't have this from the factory settings. a great overhaul for my old 4runner 2008. make sure you check the right model for your car. it has many options but basically i ended using 3 options. ecomode, great for slow driving arround the block. Sport mode exellent to make the car more responsive. sport + exellent for the highway. easy to install.

I watched so many videos and adds for the Pedal Commander. I did my research!!! I have to say it’s worth every Penny I spent. Just plug it in connect it to your phone and let the fun begin. I’ve kept mine in City mode for the most part in my 2007 4Runner. Sport mode is great and Sport plus will burn the tires off if your not careful. I love it!!!!
