I was having issues with my integrated Realtek adapter dropping packets occasionally. I kept getting kicked from game servers and had a hard time streaming video at 1080p, while I could easily do it on my TV. It comes with a CD with the drivers, but I don't have a drive, so I downloaded drivers directly from Intel and they work perfectly. I was able to play an online game while streaming video at 1080p and never got kicked. This card fixed my problems and doesn't drop packets. This is a cheap alternative to a genuine Intel, which is about 3 times more expensive. I'm staying away from Realtek adapters forever.

This card was the solution to my TrueNAS build problems brought on by the RealTek onboard NIC. The RealTek driver for FreeBSD are poor to say the least - under moderate load for reading data off of the NAS, my TrueNAS instance would simply disappear from the network, causing no alert to be generated from TrueNAS itself. Installing and configuring the card was quick and easy and worked like a champ!

As someone who just needs a decent PCIe x1 NIC w/ an RJ45 port (the port on my mobo seems to have broke somehow), this was a pretty good buy. Gets the speeds I was expecting. The driver on the CD is Intel w/ v22.6.6.0, and upon installing it + a power cycle, the card worked like a charm for me. Couldn't have asked for anything more, really.

No issues. Needed an Intel card for a pfSense box. Fit the bill, runs cool, great throughput.

the card came with full side connector and half size connector. Once I changed to half size connector for the pc that is compact mini design it worked like a charm. Didn't need any drivers in win 10.

This is a nice little card for $20. No complaints. As far as speed goes on GF 1GB I am able to get about 900-950Mb/sec both up and down. Response time stays below 2ms. Very good. I have it installed in a X1 slot. It will only use 1 lane so putting in higher slots would be a waste.Only downside is you need old drivers. I'm currently running the Intel v12.18.12.1 dated 2/23/21. This driver was found by Windows Update. When you first install the card Windows pulled up some old MS driver. The driver on the CD that came with the card won't work for me. I'm running Win 10 22H2. The latest drivers from Intel 2022 forward don't work. They install without error but the device makes no network connection.I think youi might want to consider a 2.5Gb card because the technology will be newer and so will the drivers. That would be backwards compatible to a 1Gb network. You can find those for about $20 also. If you want genuine Intel then go with this card.
