Simple as possible the acquired 50-pin scsi cable was acquired to meet my needs to stand-up a 50 hard drive to a primitive 286 machine. It worked well as expected.

The connections are equidistant, that could be considered a flaw but also a feature.Nothing remarkable about the cable, it works.

Used this to install the SCSI interface in a late 90's Yamaha EX5 synth. This cable was used for the SCSI2SD board I bought separately to emulate the old 50 pin SCSi2 hard drives and it's connected to the factory Yamaha SCSI adapter that was an option for this synth. It just worked as expected and that's nice with modernizing old equipment, no screwing around, ready to rock and roll.

This cable is not like the cable it was meant to replace. The middle connector on this cable is exactly halfway between the two ends. This means that while the end connectors reach with room to spare, the middle connector is too far from the drive it was meant to plug into. None of the pictures indicate this is the case. We'll have to buy another SCSI cable and try again.
