These are sold as 1/4" inside diameter. They are in fact 6mm (actual measurement is 5.92mm) and are not usable for my need.

I own an Inkbird temperature controller (highly recommend) that I monitor the temperature in my commercial refrigerator for a number of years. Because of its’ accuracy I found that my alarms were going off bc it was reading “air temperatures” which fluctuates widely during cycling so I put my temperature probe into a cup of water which gives me a accurate temperature reading that is what the holding temperatures -vs- air temperature. I recently reorder an additional Inkbird Controller and read that the probes were Not recommended to be placed into liquid so I took a chance on these protectors and couldn’t be more impressed just with the quality and perfect size for my probe. Very pleased with this item and would highly recommend!

These thermo-wells work great at a fraction of the cost of other products. I had to slightly modify my temperature probe to fit inside but they do measure 1/4" ID as advertised. Great product to control lager fermentation temperatures!

My sensor is .239 in diameter so it should fit this supposedly .250 ID pipe, but it does not. Very close, but I had to sand down the sensor body to get it to fit.Finish on these is very nice.
