I ordered 3 of these to replace the ugly ceiling fan globe. The size is perfect and it gives a country fan a modern look. Black dims the light somewhat, but I like that effect.

Based on other reviews this is what I expected. The shade in is rolled up and will take a little time to relax. It's not going to be perfect but overall a good option if you can't find what you're looking for at the store.

I love the ease of putting together the lampshade. I really purchased this lamp shade because of the adjustable base ring feature. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find a basic white lamp shade in the store. I went to Walmart, Target, and Home Goods, and could not find an E26 base. Most were the small spider size.

I was very surprised when I received this lamp shade. I did not recall reading that it needed to be assembled. Needless to say I was shocked when it arrived in a flat box. The quality of the lamp shade left a lot to be desired; it was poorly made, thin material, and white stitching was visible on what was supposed to be a black lampshade. This looked like something from a discount junk shop. I immediately returned it.

I didn’t realize these shades were not assembled when I ordered them. They are impossible to get lined up on the rings with Velcro. They look cheap. I will replace them when I have time.

The old dirty lamp shade looks better. Will have to throw out the new one.
