I am using this lense on a GoPro Hero 4 black with an adapter... This has about 1.5 stops fixed . This lense must be a combination of a black mist filter/cpl filter... On water there's no reflection... Water becomes see through . It lessens the harshness of light sources such as fire in a chimney or bulbs from street lights... Gives it a aura type light pattern.. it does soften blacks but at the same time gives better contrast. I bought a 2nd filter as a back up... I keep this filter on my GoPro 100% of the time day or night .. if anything I stack an ND filter on top when it's too bright..
