I got the 1-inch binders, and they work perfectly. The plastic feels very durable, and I don't foresee these getting loose over time. I got these to bind together my annual planner, and they work exactly as I hoped they would.

This A4 size holds 8.5" x 11" papers just fine. Prying open the grip for 50 pages neatly took a little finesse but I managed. Holds well.
