I run an external cleaning company and an issue we have always faced is customers hoses being full of all sorts of different stuff and clogging the ends. This worked absolutely perfect for us to run 2 3/4 hoses from each side and place in between customers hoses and our own attachments to collect all of this grit/bugs. The clear casing is good as can see when the strainer needs a rinse and is sealed with a silicon O-ring. No leaks whatsoever when set up. I will say though that the internal thread is incredibly deep making it rather tricky to get the right attachments to work without leaks. We got there in the end though

This filter was got to go in front of the a gas water heater so we can use non tap water with it.You have to be fussy with the filtration if it is not coming straight from the mains .I will fit it in front of the 12 volt pump we got to feed it.The fitting is 3/4" and is accurate when measured with my meaasuring calipers.You need an external thread to connect to it each side.The water flows through the filter which is 80 mesh size ( fine)I wanted a fine filter as we will run swimming pool water through it and into the heater and the pool does end up with little specks of dust and the odd tiny fly.The bottom part is see through which is ideal for monitoring its state and being able to judge when to take the mesh out and brush it clean.The clear bit screws on to sit on a silicon gasket so should be very watertight.This can cope with upto 10L a minute and 1-80 degrees C temperature.If we get any problems with it over the next few months , I'll be back to update.
