I ordered this for my umbrella cockatoo. This are definitely not large enough for a large parrot.

I have cockatiels and they love this! There is always someone sitting on it and swinging! When they aren’t using it as a perch they also love shredding the decoration part. Overall great toy!

My Blue-fronted Amazon Parrot took to this soft, entertaining ring / swing instantly. She can be a bit timid when we offer her a new toy. But, this one seemed to excite her to begin interacting with it.

My parrot does not really used this as a swing. She uses it more to chew and pull off the strings. She takes her time doing it so this is a great item for her so she does not pluck her feathers due to boredom. I normally purchase the white cotton version. I wanted to try out the multi color version to see if she has a preference. She really doesn't it would appear. The ring has a metal ring in the middle with colored cotton rope. This is a great addition to any parrots cage to keep them occupied if they like to chew on rope.

Full disclosure: I am not the parrot's owner, but I AM the person who will be driving my friend and their African gray parrot 2,000 miles and was extremely concerned that such a long drive would be boring for such a smart creature - so I searched for safer toys for the bird to enjoy while confined to a large cage en route. This ring toy looked to be a good option because it's very colorful and has many ropes for the bird to bite and pull. It can be securely mounted on the side of the cage, ensuring that it doesn't go flying and hit the bird. When the toy arrived, I was extremely impressed with the quality - these are thick ropes, they are plentiful, and it will take a LOT of work to pull them apart.Funny side note: One of my cats is determined to open the package and make this toy her own! Granted, she will play with dangly toys and ropes, so I suspect she thinks this was purchased for her use. I'll have to hide it in my luggage until I leave in a couple of days.Photos and further feedback will be added to this review as the parrot gets to use his new toy!

What I like:As advertised, this item is a ring with knotted rope around it, designed for pet parrots. The rope is actually thick and inviting, which is very nice. What I don't like:As usual, they misrepresent the size of bird this is appropriate for. Since they don't have a parrot, they photoshop one in (very poorly) and make it look like your macaw could play on this toy. Seriously, they put an African Grey in their ads, and since I happen to have one I thought I would show the truth. My Grey is on the very SMALL side for her species - about 435 grams. She's petite. My mom's Grey ran closer to 650 grams, and was a few inches taller. MY Grey would barely fit in this ring if she tried to crawl into the middle, though she would not do that. Your *average* African Grey would not be able to perch in the middle of this ring and play with the ropes, at all. A caique would be perfect here, a conure, a hahn's or noble macaw (mini macaws), a quaker or parrotlet, a cockatiel. Anything larger than that will not fit into the ring the way they advertise, and certainly not the majority of African Grey parrots. This isn't a toy fit for "Large Birds" as advertised, it's a fit for Sm/Med birds at best. Sorry. Is this trash, or treasure?Construction wise, this is a decent toy. Though you must absolutely watch any parrot who is given a toy with rope or string that they can fray, and remove the toy if it appears your bird is ingesting the strings. Advertising wise, they are full of it, and I wouldn't rely on their description or fake photos of what size this toy is good for. So they get 3 stars, instead of the 4 or 5 they would get if they were accurate.
