I was surprised to find the replacement part on Amazon for my 2005 VW Touareg and happy to learn I'm not the first person to snap the parking brake release handle. It came in a nondescript box with no instructions, but it's relatively simple to figure out how to replace the broken one. So far so good, and I'm just assuming the whole process was far less expensive than going to your local mechanic.
