I gave this 4 stars because of the basic design flaw - it breaks easily if you put much strain on it in setting the brake, which is required on most mowers. That's a John Deere problem more than this aftermarket supplier, but rather than design a better brake handle, they just made it fairly cheap and fairly simple to replace. A more durable design on such expensive mowers would have been the proper way to go, as this is the second time I've had to replace the original, despite being careful after the first one broke.It did fit my model E170 just fine, but the bottom line is, JD needs to do better!
