I’m one of those guys who didn’t do enough cleaning over the years and ended up replacing a cassette every year because my chain was worn. I rarely cleaned my bike and even more rarely cleaned my chain. Over the years my Park Tool chain cleaner did get used some but somehow floating around in my garage and through a couple of moves I had lost the foam inserts to the tool. So instead of buying a brand new chain cleaner I found replacement parts.I bought these and they’ve been sitting in my garage for a few weeks. I went to wash my bike and WASNT going to deep clean the chain and realized I bought these replacement parts. The old parts popped out easily and the new parts snapped right in. Took 30 seconds. And it made a huge difference in the effectiveness of how the tool works in cleaning the chain. After inspecting the the old parts I realized how worn they were. Glad I replaced the , and for half of what I new tool would be.

The scrubbing sponge in my Park Tool chain cleaner eventually wore out. Figured I needed to buy a new cleaner, but I found these replacement parts which completely restored my chain cleaning tool. Thanks Park for offering this product. Part were easy to install and fit perfectly. No reason to throw out the perfectly useable plastic shell.

When I opened the original packaging, I noticed the Sidewall brush was missing.Update: talked to customer service at bicycle addiction about missing part They happily replaced the missing part

I’m sure anyone who uses the Park Tool cyclone chain cleaner has destroyed their sponges, so I was very happy that I could order replacement parts. The brushes inside the device seemed fine, but I replaced them anyway. Really appreciate getting two sponges in this kit for the next replacement. No device better cleans my chains than this.

Park tool aren't the cheapest maker of tools but their stuff is always top quality and well packaged. This refill kit for my CM 5.3 chain cleaner is a lot better for the environment than replacing the whole tool when it gets worn, like I had to with my other-brand chain cleaner. It gets my chain really clean and I will be sticking with Park for this

This kit replaces all your grimy brushes and the disintegrating sponge with new ones. They pop out and in quite easily, and there is actually a spare sponge in the kit: comes with two, only requires one. This is quite useful, as the sponge will wear away long before the nylon brush bristles will, so you can clean many more times longer than you would have been able to.This kit does not come with any cleaning fluid, but since the cleaning fluid that came with the Cyclone is only good for 2 fills, you should already be using your own cleaner. A concentrated citrus cleaner diluted with water is a very economical choice, as you can buy in bulk and tailor the strength of the cleaner to the dirtiness of the chain.
