I purchased this because a cheep set I bought from Amazon twisted rather than hold. On that same axle nut, this wrench held without an issue and I was finally able to service those bearings.

Basic tool, but I only needed one size so I decided for quality over quantity. Works well and feels good.

Do you absolutely need to buy Park Tools? NoAre they made better than cheap alternatives? YesAre they worth it? If you want to buy your tools once, yes. Some Park Tools are priced in a manner that makes them hard to justify. However, most are like this and just a few dollars more. For that few dollars more, you're going to get as close to an exact fit as possible and tools that are always made in a quality manner.I read a few criticisms about this tool and the most common was how things it is and concerns about how long it will hold up. I'm sorry, but both are absurd concerns. This tool is supposed to be this thing and as long as you are far and away exceeding torque limits, this tool will outlive me, you and everyone else.Again, outside of a few tools, Park Tools are marginally more expensive than cheap alternatives, but always superior. For my money, buy it once and never have to buy it again. I recommend this!Cheers!PS. For those with adjustable bearings on their Easton Wheels, this is what you need!

I saw this wrench at my local bike shop for twice the price as Amazon. I ordered it here and got it just in case I needed it when I switched out my pedals on the new bike that was coming in the mail. It was a good thing I got this! When my bike arrived, I had also ordered some Shimano A530 pedals and I realized that I HAD to put them on since the bike came without pedals! I should have realized that was the case but didn't pay much attention to the pedals while ordering the bike.Anyway, This wrench made quick work of the pedals and helped me avoid trying to use my far-too-thick standard wrenched in the garage that couldn't grip the pedal at all. This wrench is comfortable to use and isn't some cheap stamped wrench like others I've seen for sale from China. If you have any need of a good wrench for pedals, or anything requiring a thinner wrench, BUY THIS WRENCH!

Bought this primarily to change a few things on my bike like my pedals. It is thin, but solidly built. My detraction is that I thought it was the longer handled version. This one is short like a regular wrench. The thiness hurts one's hands when trying to apply the amount of pressure necessary to remove certain nuts. The longer handled version would make it easier apply greater force. Wanted to return for exchange or refund, but the shipping cost, which the seller demands, is nearly as much as the original cost and so...

awesome, any tool that can stop me from swearing deserves a pat on the back. If I could figure out where the back is on this thing. We've got two ottomans that get wheeled around a lot by the kids. Casters back themselves out and then they get wobbly and I can almost hear the wife getting the frying pan out of the cupboard ready to teach me what happens when the wood floors get gouges from sideways casters.Amazon and Park Tool to the rescue. I sent the better part of an hour trying to tighten with too thick open end wrenches, tapping with a slotted screwdriver and hammer, pliers, all mechanical means at my disposal and was just ready to contemplate fire ( that's next in the decision tree, right?) ... well I decided to search the internet for flat wrenches in 17MM ( I know them as "ignition" wrenches) well found some tappet wrenches, then stumbled upon this wonderful bikers tool known as cone wrenches. Bought one.. waited the requisite two prime shipping days ( no time to go to the local bike shop hoping they had one) .. just got it literally 30 minutes ago and took me a mere two minutes to complete the task. This tool will now reside in my special part of the tool box for the "saved my buns" and "never gonna let you go" section. As far as the tool goes, you can't really get something this quality, this inexpensive, delivered to your door. I think if you were to deform this tool, what you were trying to tighten was either too tight, to loosen was welded or rusted on and should have been thrown away in the first place, or you were using the wrong tool. I know, cause I'm guilty of trying to use the closest tool more than I care to admit.
