Been replacing lots of tent guylines with this instead it's much more sturdy and reliable than the cheap ones provided by the tents you buy. Also looks cool.

Great cord, strong and good for many situations requiring cord. Holding tents up to hanging your food stuffs high in the trees or a clothes line to dry your wet items. plus many more jobs...

I purchased others on Amazon thinking they were all basically the same, but other companies (Who appeared similarly premium) sent cording that frayed messily on the ends making it very annoying to cut/burn or tie. Also, the cording on the last premium products allows the inner cord to slide inside the sheets, and feels overall thinner and more lightweight than the one from Paracord Planet. I won’t buy another brand again.

Of all of the purchases I’ve made for Paracord 550 (and other thicknesses) I haven’t had a single issue with the Paracord that comes from Planet Paracord/Built for Survival. Great product, strength, amazing color options… I can’t think of a bad thing. Paracord can be used in many ways, they used the cord in WWII in parachutes… that has to tell you something about the strength. 550 is the amount of weight the cord can hold. I make bracelets, dog collars and leashes, get back whips for motorcyclists, you name it. Great product at a GREAT price too. Keep it up guys and girls.

you can really tell the quality of a paracord with how the inner strands interact with the outer shell. If the quality is poor, the outer sleeve will adjust freely and slide up and down leaving the inner strands to be exposed. also the inner strands and outer sleeve, when burnt, determine another aspect of quality. I recently got some cheap paracord thinking I would experience better quality at a fraction of the cost...nope. The cheaper paracord burns the outer sleeve so quickly that the inner sleeve never bonds with the outer sleeve. Its a mess. This paracord is top notch. The outer sleeve hugs the inner strands tightly and both burn together very nicely. I never worry about the ends or the stability of the rope. I would definitely recommend this paracord to everyone, above other brands.

I purchased this cord to use with various craft projects, to basically use it like a draw string. It is so much nicer than trying to make a drawstring out of fabric which is not nearly as strong and in some cases, not as attractive. The cord does not fray and can easily be knotted at the end. Because it is relatively thin, it is not difficult to put through casings other fabric openings such as button holes. I wish I had discovered Paracord earlier. They come in such a variety of colors. It is much less expensive and easier to use than the cord found in fabric shops.

Very nice craft cord. Do be aware that this is NOT true military specification paracord; rather, it's an acceptable commercial craft product. Paracord Planet was very prompt and courteous in responding about this question, stating that "The 550 Type III Milspec paracord that you purchased is our standard commercial 550 paracord. If you were looking for the heavy duty military grade, I would recommend our Mil-C-5040- paracord...." (It would sure be nice for us customers if the term 'milspec' wasn't used so loosely.)Unless you need this for load-bearing functionality, this cord is fine for crafts and household use. It's also a great price and the color options are terrific. Just know what you are buying. For true military spec heavy-duty cord, I highly recommend Titan Paracord. Otherwise, save a buck and buy from Paracord Planet.

What can I say, its para-cord, it's red and it looks good. I bought this stuff to make red zipper pulls for my departments Tactical vests. The red will signify where the guys are keeping their medical gear like a tourniquet and gauze. You will for sure need to burn the ends after you cut it so that it wont unravel. I really like this product, good price, bright red and will do the job just fine.I would buy this product again

I'm going to be honest here. I've never compared paracord before because I've never used it very much outside of camping as a kid. I got this paracord specifically to use as bowstring and it did its job satisfactorily. It seems to be of good quality. The color is as vibrant as in the picture, and it came packaged in a plastic bag. I decided to go for something brightly colored and I am definitely glad that I did, though initially I did wonder if the quality would be less because of that. It wasn't; despite its cotton candy appearance, it's seriously durable. It's been dragged through the dirt and doesn't retain much, and what it does cleans up nicely--that was another concern of mine when ordering a bright color. I'll be finding excuses to use it for quite some time and am even considering ordering more in different colors.Bottom line? This was the best deal I could find for what I was looking for and I haven't found anything to complain about.

My husband has been using paracord to wrap knife handles and also to make micarta, for solid knife handles. Paracord Planet has a fantastic selection of colors and lengths. So if someone asks for an unusual color for a handle, we can get just 10 feet and not have any excess. Like me for instance, I wanted dragonfly ☺ But the more popular colors, we can get 50, 100 or more feet and for a reasonable price too! We like it a lot!

Previously, I have only used mil-spec paracord obtained during my time in the service or from official military supply stores. This was my first purchase of "Paracord Planet" product, and I found it to be identical to the material I used in survival school. The option for so many colors is fantastic, and I will be buying this for all future paracord uses.Additionally, I was able to flawless wrap two knife handles with this stuff on the first try. Great product.
