Colors bleed when glued into place. But a good learning too for beginners. Better when accented on a picture . Not as a full picture

I returned this because of the damage to all four of the templates. I chose not to get a replacement because there were almost no instructions at all -- just very limited high level info which quilling basics you should go look up somewhere else. I was expecting SOME instructions on how to use the templates!The paper was okay quality, the slotted quilling tool was good, and I didn't try the rest because I wanted to be able to return it due to the template damage.The glue is just in a regular Elmer's glue style dispenser, which isn't great, but at least it's included.If you are somewhat experienced or are just looking for materials and templates, this would be fine.

The directions that come with this aren't spectacular, but otherwise this is a very nice and complete quilling set, with everything you need to get started, perfect for beginners... or anyone who simply likes the patterns or needs to restock on quilling supplies. I'd probably recommend getting a nicer and larger bottle of craft glue than the tiny bottle provided, as well as some mod podge to coat the finished works with to help make them a little more solid and secure and give them a bit of a glossy finish if desired (and if not, matte-finish mod podge is available too), but otherwise this has everything you need to complete the four designs provided. Again, the instructions aren't much help, but there's plenty of tutorials available online to help you get started and walk you through the various techniques, so unless you don't have regular internet access, that should be a pretty minor problem to work around.I got really into quilling a few years back been then lost all of my supplies in a move, so I'm glad to have found this... it's not a comprehensive enough kit to replace ALL the materials that I lost, but at least it's enough to get my feet back in the water again.

I got into quilling miniature figures about ten years ago, but it is a craft that fell by the wayside as life went on. We've moved twice in that time and I haven't been able to locate all of my quilling supplies. I was happy to see this kit come up for review as it has all of the things that I haven't been able to locate, aside from a crimper.The kit is pretty basic but the supplies are good quality and it has everything you need to give quilling a try if you're interested but don't want to go crazy buying supplies until you try it out. It comes neatly packed in a reusable cardboard box and none of my paper strips were crunched or deformed. Everything was what I expected it to be and I am happy with the set that I received.
