These stretchy bands are designed to retain a plastic cover on the end of an ice fishing auger. I have no idea how they work for that application BUT they work great for other jobs around the house.I am using them to retain a modem, router and battery backup on a wall mounted shelf in the garage. With a notch in the edges of the wood shelf I can secure the components using these bands. They are very stretchy and thankfully do not smell like most rubber products coming out of China.I made a simple tool hanger using one band with each end wedged into a notch on a piece of wood. So far I've used 5 of the bands and will undoubtedly come up with uses for the rest.The item I received includes 10 (ten) bands.Each band measures just about 11" in length.
