From the Manufacturer

The PanaVise 350 multipurpose work center is a compact work-holding tool bundle designed to hold larger, heavier objects. The 350 multipurpose work center features a head that opens up to 9", removable neoprene jaw pads, and a tray mount with six built-in parts wells. The components are mounted around a PanaVise 300 standard base, which features compatibility with additional tool and vise head options, and PanaVise "split-ball" functionality utilizing single-knob controls for head movement through 3 separate planes (tilt, turn and rotate).

The all-in-one compact work station for holding larger, heavier objects.
The Compact Work Station for Larger, Heavier Objects

The PanaVise 350 multipurpose work center is made up of three PanaVise components: the 376 extra-wide opening vise head, the 300 standard base and the 312 parts tray mount. The 376 vise head opens up to 9", and has "double-action" jaws. This configuration allows for fast opening and closing, as both sides of the jaws move simultaneously when the vise is cranked. The jaws self-center, which ensures a good fit against items, and allows the contact points of jaws to be reversed, providing 'zero' closure when a user needs to secure very small items. The unit ships with reversible and removable 1-7/8" neoprene jaw pads. One side of the pads has multiple grooves designed for flat surfaces, while the other has a wide "V" groove to hold round objects. The 300 standard base connects the 376 head component to the 312 part tray mount. Pre-drilled tapped holes in the aluminum 312 parts tray mount allow it to be attached to the 300 standard base. The 4-5/16" tray diameter and weight (1.4 lbs.) add to the overall stability. The 312 parts tray mount contains six integrated part wells with rounded edges that ease parts grasping. The tray also contains three pre-drilled and tapped 1/4"-20 holes to secure additional accessories.

Tilt, Turn and Rotate Functionality

The PanaVise PanaVise 350 multipurpose work center utilizes PanaVise single knob "split-ball" functionality at the point of contact between its base and vise head attachment. Once an item is secured within the head, the base's the split-ball adjustment system allows for maneuvering along three separate planes. The complete mobility range is a 90-degree tilt to the side, along with either an angled rotation or a level turn range of 360 degrees. This range of mobility allows a user to rearrange a work item into any position, and eliminates the need to adjust the overall position of the work station.

A 9" jaw opening, reversible jaw contact points and adjustability along three planes
(soldering iron holder not included).
The parts tray base mount ensures that small items are accessible.
Additional Head Options

Although the PanaVise 350 multipurpose work center is intended for use with the included 376 extra wide opening vise head attachment, it is also compatible with a range of other vise head accessories. The base works with all PanaVise 300 series vise heads, as well as the PV Jr. model 203 head, or any other tool accessory with a 5/8" diameter shaft.

This is simply the best small craft vice I've ever used. I have some Bessy and other brands, but this is spectacular!I use it for locksport and detail work on fixing mechanical components. It's heavy, sturdy, the head and base work with a variation of combinations if you get more Panavise modules. The action is smooth and precise, the depth of the jaws grip can be flipped to add even more space. Feels incredibly durable and solid, it's a BIFL product and even made in the USA (Reno, NV).They aren't cheap, as mini vices go, but it's a "buy once" product. My kids will probably be able to use this one day. Can't give it enough praise.

I can't imagine my electronics workbench without the PANAVISE 350--it's practically the MVP of my hobbyist setup. Whether I'm soldering, using a rotary tool, sanding, testing with a multimeter, or just taking a closer look at components under a magnifying glass, this vise is my go-to tool. It was a bit of a splurge, and I hesitated a while before buying it, but I've got to say, it's been worth every penny.I've seen some reviews mentioning missing parts, but thankfully, my kit was complete and didn't have any quality issues. The finish isn't exactly pristine, but that doesn't bother me; what matters is that it's sturdy and straightforward to use--and it nails these aspects. It is quite a beast in size, so it does take up a fair chunk of space on the table. It's also heavy, but that's a good thing in my book because it doesn't budge an inch, especially when holding small and light components or plain cables I need to tin. When I bought it, I toyed with the idea of picking up some extra accessories made specifically for electronic boards, but I haven't needed them yet--the basic vise handles everything from small to medium-sized projects just fine. I've also considered getting the helping hands accessory specifically designed for the PANAVISE. Maybe they're as game-changing as the vise itself, but so far, I haven't felt the need for them. There are plenty of ways to customize and enhance this vise, but as it stands, it's already a perfect fit for what I do.If you're on the fence about getting one, I'd say just go for it. Hold off on the accessories, though—you might find that you don't need them after all.

The Panavise 350 is an indispensable component of our commercial PCB soldering setup. Its substantial weight and sturdy construction ensure that it stays firmly in place on our worktops, even during the most intricate soldering tasks. We've found that when paired with a silicone mat, it becomes an immovable anchor for our workpieces. The integrated trays have proven to be a thoughtful and practical addition, preventing small components from rolling around and getting misplaced during our soldering work. This combination of stability and organization makes the Panavise 350 an invaluable tool in our daily operations, streamlining our workflow, and contributing to the precision and efficiency we demand in a commercial setting. If you're looking for a reliable and well-designed base for your PCB soldering needs, the Panavise 350 is a standout choice that delivers on all fronts.

I'm glad that I didn't get scared off by the few negative reviews. All of the parts were there and intact and worked flawlessly. The base is very sturdy and the cast trays around the edges of the base are very convenient for staging picking tools and keys, etc. The jaws are adjustable across a wide range and can be oriented in virtually all angles. I did lubricate the adjustment screws and moving parts with a light lubricant to reduce friction, but overall, it appears to be a good design and good quality of construction. If you're into Locksport or other related activities where a small table vise would be handy, I believe this is a good choice.

I have to say, i love this vice. The self centering jaws are great, but what really sets it off are two things.1. the super wide range. This is where all the others fall short that i've used. The smaller ones just have a 2 inch gap. Well. that stinks when you're working on a 2x4 piece of wood for something small (i was carving wood). SO having this giant range of available clamp widths is fantastic2. the base. now I didn't think i'd care about this, the others i've used are those with a lever you push over and it sucks up with a rubber foot. but having this very wide flat base holds the vice very stable. and the little trays around it are very handy to have. I'm going to get the soldering station too. but i just love this.the only negative, and it's really by design, you could never hold wood in this and saw on it. The head rotates side to side, now, under normal use holding a board, or a mortise cylinder lock, or electronics it won't be noticed, but it's not locked, so there's no stablization rotating which means if you put any real torque on it the head turnsbut again, that's really not what this is meant for. I know 80 bucks is a fantastic price though.I recommend this vice above any other small one I've seen.Footnote: when i got mine there was a mistake in packaging and the 4 little screws to secure the jaws weren't in it. You need these screws because they aren't typical. You can replace them with machine screws from Lowes, or Home Depot, but be warned you'll need washers. because the diameter of the screw doesn't typically encompass a head wide enough to go over the screw mount and clamp down on the jaw itself. it'll work with screws and washers but really doesn't look great.
