Amazon.com

The Panasonic PV-V4611 four-head hi-fi stereo VCR is home theater ready and offers VCR Plus+, program-end and index search options, commercial skip, a clock with auto set and timer, and a universal, illuminated remote control.

The PV-V4611's four-head design delivers a dramatically crisp, clear picture to your television. Its pair of RCA audio jacks coupled with its hi-fi design offer enhanced audio output with connected components, making this VCR a great accessory for home theater systems and families with a range of viewing needs.

In addition to its superb audio and video output, the PV-V4611 includes a selectable commercial playback. With a simple push of a button on the remote, you can rapidly advance past commercial breaks in one-, two-, or three-minute increments.

To further expand programming options, Panasonic includes VCR Plus+, which lets you program recording by entering the numerical codes found in your local TV listings or TV Guide. VCR Plus+ not only streamlines the recording process, it also takes the hassle out of it.

Index search lets you quickly and precisely index and search for your favorite recordings using discrete numeric codes applied during the recording process, while program-end search zips to the end of a program with the touch of a button. Multilingual onscreen displays let you read programming guides and menus in English, Spanish, or French.

The PV-V4611's auto clock set updates the time and date automatically by receiving the Extended Data Service signal from your local PBS channel, meaning you'll never have to set this clock again. And, in the event of a power outage, the time and date automatically reset (within 24 hours).

Panasonic's PV-V4611 also includes all those features you've come to expect in a VCR, including pause, resume play, one-touch recording, auto stop, and more. A convenient multibrand universal remote control is included with two AA batteries. This remote control is illuminated, making it easy to use at any time.

This VCR is Energy Star compliant and is designed to help save you money on utility bills and reduce energy waste.

Panasonic's warranty covers the PV-V4611 for a year on parts and 90 days on labor.

Although it is refurbished, they prepared it well and it worked well.I gave one less star because, for a refurbished one, I expected the price to be lower

Bought this unit for hi-fi stereo audio-only recording. Works great. Quiet mechanism, super fast rewind. Seller included batteries for the remote, and a blank Sony T120 ! Everything functions perfectly as new. Expectations EXCEEDED ! Thank you!

I am satisfied with the quality, but disappointed with the features, specifically VCR+.I had been using a Panasonic PV-4564 for a long long time and I liked it a lot. It finally got a tape stuck in it (as has every VCR I have ever owned at some point, oh well) and I figured with the prices so low on this 4611, I would just buy a new one instead of fixing the old.The most important feature to me is the VCR+ feature, particularly how my old VCR could change the channel on my cable box. When I did my research, I ruled out all VCRs without VCR+. When I got this PV-4611, I was extremely surprised to realize that Panasonic has apparently silently done away with the external control feature!(History reminder; the *original* VCR+ systems from the 80's were tiny little remotes that sat on top of your TV and sent out the right infared codes to control your VCR and your cable boxes. And they also worked off of those crazy numbers in the TV guide, of couse. Apparantly, now VCR+ only means ONE of those things.)I cannot find information on Panasonic's web site about my old VCR, nor can I find any info on whether they even have any current models with the feature I want.Just to be clear: the problem is that I have to set my cable box to the right channel in advance of my timed recordings. And I cannot record shows from two different channels without manually changing the channel at the right time. Of course, I could do away with my cable box, but then I could not record from scrambled channels like HBO. Grumble. The actual VCR I received is working fine and the quality seems good. I'm going to keep it (but only because the price is so low), but I'm sure irritated with Panasonic.p.s. Does anyone know what "VCR+ Silver" really means?
