Absolutely loved this mod. Great quality paint, not like the cheap carbon fiber look. Super easy to swap out and saves tons of $$ compared to getting from the dealer!

I got this keyfob shell with Chalk color for my Macan. I thought the price was right since Porsche dealership asks for hundreds if you want a keyfob different than black. Installation went smooth thanks to several videos on Youtube, please watch before installing. Also get a jimmy tool that will be easier and you won't scratch your keyfob while installing your new cover. I removed the battery prior installing, so it doesn't trigger the lock/unlock while you're doing the install. Hopefully the shiny paint will stay. btw the color is a perfect match.

installation was easy. however, this is not a true miami blue. its a bit lighter more of a shark blue than miami blue. miami blue is darker. i know this as i have a miami blue car... and OEM key covers as well fro porsche. i used this cover for the spare key.another issue is that the center piece dint fit very well. had to force it in to set. the sides were perfect

In the realm of luxury cars, even the key fob deserves a touch of class. Enter the Painted Key Fob Shell Cover Replacement for Porsche, a chic yet affordable alternative to the dealership’s overpriced options.First off, let’s talk savings. This key fob cover is a wallet-friendly gem, a refreshing reprieve from the jaw-dropping prices at the dealership. You’re getting a sleek new look without the financial heart attack.Aesthetically, it’s a winner. The cover fits like a glove, transforming your key fob into a stylish accessory. The blue hue is striking, adding a dash of flair to your daily routine. However, if you’re a stickler for color precision, you might notice it’s not an exact match to the original. It’s close, but not quite perfect.Despite this minor discrepancy, the overall appeal is undeniable. The cover is well-made, durable, and feels good in hand. It’s a simple yet effective way to personalize your Porsche key fob without compromising on quality.TL;DR: Painted Key Fob Shell Cover Replacement for Porsche: A cost-effective, stylish upgrade that looks great, even if the color isn’t a perfect match.

The cover looks really nice sure looks better than the old one. It took a bit work to get the old cover off without destroying it take your time. The video makes it look so easy but years of dirt and crime those pieces stick. Getting it back together once you have the right it goes pretty smooth. The hardest part on the top piece where the Porsche crest is I really had to push down hard on it to snap in. When you have it apart a toothbrush and toothpick are great to clean the crime. Now I’m thinking of doing the spare key maybe carbon fiber. BTW make sure you buy the right style the clear red over the crest is the key one style doesn’t have it. I learned that the hard way.

I purchased two of these covers - one chalk and one black - to redo the look of my 2016 Porsche key fob in two custom colors. Most importantly, make sure you use the QR code included with the packaging to watch the install video. This key was definitely more complicated than a similar project on my 2021 fob. I highly recommend you also use some plastic trim removal tools to aid in your project (well of course Amazon sells those!)The side covers came off very easily and I used a toothbrush to clean any old crust from the fob. I didn't watch the entire video before starting and ended up breaking my OEM silver trim piece along the top while removing it. Try as I might, however, I was not able to pry the top half from the bottom half of the fob body like the video showed to do. Using the trim tools carefully, I was able to open two "wings" along the sides of the battery compartment, then get my pry tool into the front of the fob and open that area enough to remove the original trim and slide the new top trim piece in place. Be aware that the top trim has a tab that must fit into a notch under the front of the remote body to make everything fit properly. Once that was done, the new side covers went back on very easily. The photos show how everything is supposed to look when put together properly. If you have a small gap along the front, you need to go back and make sure that the top trim is properly in place before fitting the side pieces. The key looks great to me and fits perfectly in my ignition, just like the OEM. Take your time and follow the directions, and I think you'll find that this is a well-made product that adds a bit of customized personality to your key at a much lower price than the dealer accessories.
