Our daughter is really into painting right now, so we love that this is basically mess free & easy to use. It’s convenient that the water colors are on each page, it came with 2 paint brushes & the paper was very thick so the water wasn’t leaking through the other side. Would re-order this in a heart beat!

Overall, these are nice water color books (or, Woter Color as the cover will tell you!) - they pages are all perforated and very thick, and each page includes its own color palette which are numbered and correspond with the paint-by-number in the pictures. The book also includes two brushes and has a cut out within the book to hold them, which I thought was pretty neat. The only real downside is that this is targeted at younger children who are probably learning to read, yet it is filled with spelling errors, which is why I took off the one star. I would absolutely recommend these and buy them again, but just beware that English wasn't the goodest subject of whomever proofread these before they went to print!

I bought this for my nephew to occupy him as a replacement for his tablet. He was delighted, thrilled that the paints came with a picture and had fun painting with this. The pictures are simple enough for a five-year-old to complete, but complex enough to hold interest. The paints were more than adequate for each picture. I bought a second one.

My daughter loves painting with this painting set. The watercolors on the top are perfectly concentrated and with just a little water you can paint in pretty colors. I appreciate that the princesses aren't too much like all the Disney princesses. I also appreciate that the top of the page is perforated to tear out easily and quickly. Then under the paint it is perforated as well so after she paints, I can tear the paint section off and just have her picture. The paper is thick enough that it doesn't ripple with water. The only reason I knocked off a star and why I would NOT recommend this as a gift for someone is that the word water is misspelled on the cover. It says "woter color" It isn't small letters either. It is big letters across the front.

I bought the princess edition of this paint with water book, although there are others to choose from in case your child isn't into princess stuff. I have several little granddaughters who are, so this should be a hit when they come to my house. Across the top of each page is a numbered row of small rectangles with various colors of paint. A small paintbrush is included in the package, and the drawings to be painted are nicely done. Numbers on each section of the drawing correspond to the numbered colors of paint, but of course, it doesn't really matter if the child matches those. It's a nice addition to the activity however, for kids who are past the stage of merely slopping water on a page that already has imbedded (and usually faint) color.I'm really happy with this purchase, and I think it will get a lot of use. For some odd reason, one side of the book spells water correctly, while the other side says "WOTER." ??? I've often told my husband that if these companies who are owned by people for whom English is not their first language would just hire me for a small fee, I would be happy to proofread and fix their mistakes . . .

The 5 to 11 year old kids in my two arts and crafts classes enjoy watercolor painting books. The girls are loving this one. The princess artwork is very pretty, and the figures resemble familiar cartoon princesses.Since I use this in a class, I remove all of the pages and cut off all of the paint strips ahead of time. I let the kids choose one picture at a time; they can have another when they have finished the first one. I give them 2 tablespoons of water in a small heavy bowl and a paper towel. I keep a kitchen towel handy in case of spill, but I have never had a spill. Swirl the wet brush on the paint a few times until the paint dissolves and is picked up on the brush. We have a supply of inexpensive 1/4" flat end brushes, purchased separately, which pick up more paint and fill larger areas more quickly. Show the kids how to use shading from light to dark and color blending, if you think they are old enough to do it. Kids who are not interested in coloring with crayons or marker get into this painting and finish their pictures.I am very pleased with this watercolor painting book, and I recommend it.
