La potencia de soplado es muy baja. Trate de limpiar mi jardín pero el resultado no fue el esperado. Incluso trate de checar el auto y no fue nada fácil de hacerlo.

Up front, I don't have anything to compare this to in regard to accuracy or quality.It seems fine. It comes with a calibration plate and spacers to perform the required calibrations.It does not come with the 2x AAA batteries, but I'd rather that than some built-in battery that'll die in a few years.Testing on my car, it did register a difference between a few unbuffed spaces and a location that I know has had some extra buffing done.It has an AUTO, Ferrous, and Non-Ferrous [metal] mode. I specified Non-Ferrous Metal because it does not seem to work on other non-ferrous things like plastic body panels, so just be aware of that.One thing that did bother me was that the LCD screen has awful view angles. I took most of my readings at an angle where the screen just went completely clear and I just hoped it took the reading. It'll retain the reading for when you pick it up, but if you don't like operating blindly you'll need to duck your eyes down to be more straight-on with the display while taking readings.It does have a bright green backlight that is clearly visible during the day.

I love measuring things and this one is a new level for me. It measures paint or any coating thickness over metal. This is really good for checking if car paint work has been done. You look for consistent thickness on roof vs. doors vs. quarter panels. It will not do bumper covers and body plastics but it still can give you an overall idea if a door has been smashed in and repaired. Easy to use and a big display although it would make much more sense for the display to be rotated 180 degrees based on how you press the device against the panel being tested but I'm not going to mark it down in stars for my personal preferences. Setup instructions are not clear for calibrating. Common foreign language converted to English by a machine or a human that is not native speaking English. This took a couple of tries for me reading through the text so I will try a summary here1. Hold down um/mm mils key and press and release center ON button. This puts you in calibration mode2. spread out each of the calibration plates that are included and marked3. the device display will display the number for the plate it is expecting a scan of. .05mm,.50mm,1mm, etc.4. scan each of those by pressing down on the plate with the button at the bottom of the device and you will get two beeps5. scan each plate and the display will tell you when you're doneActually quite easy after you do it once.Overall a solid tester and I've had a lot of fun with it just checking random cars.

For precision based products (as another reviewer suggested, like aerospace), this gauge is not sufficient for that type of work.However, I am a hobbyist and DIY person. This is enough for my home projects and home detailing. In particular, I do more polishing/compounding on my cars and needed an affordable gauge to get an idea of how much clear coat was left (aka not to burn out the clear coat).This does well enough for that type of work.Could use a better housing as a drop from a reasonable height will likely damage the gauge. I'll likely find some paracord to secure it a bit more safely around my wrist while in use.Overall, not bad for DIY projects.

Let me start with that I have 40 years of experience in the heavy industrial, marine and floor coatings industry and have been using wet and dry film gages for that same period of time. The dry film gages that I use are in the $1,000.00 range, so as you can imagine, I was highly suspicious of a DFT gage that cost less than $30.00.I was not impressed at all with the exterior housing as it is hard plastic and I'm fairly sure that if I drop it, the gage will break.The wrist strap is undersized by a couple of inches making it difficult to have it on and still use the gage.I zeroed out the gage to calibrate it and then set it to MM as that test shims that they provide are in MM. The gage readings were consistently off by 0.02MM. So, unless you're doing precision aerospace coatings, this is fine.When I tried to read the 2.0 MM shim the gage showed OL meaning the thickness was Outside the Limit of what could be read.I was also shocked that a gage that cost so little would read coatings on both ferrous (metal) and non-ferrous (aluminum) surfaces.As I wrote in the headline, if you are a DIY or shop owner who actually is concerned with producing a quality product for yourself, or your customers, and you follow the instructions provided by the coatings manufacturers, then I really don't see how you can go wrong with this dry film gage.
