The pad shredded before I finished a SMALL bathroom. Won't buy again. This is one time I should have just gone to Walmart.

It helped with the edges once I got the hang of it. Definitely picked up too much paint on the first run, but you can adjust. One issue, however, is that I couldn’t find replacement pads. The option by Behr option costs more, but it’s reusable.

This is not so easy to use. If you dip too far, youll be dripping paint the entire time. But if you dont get enough paint on it, well, you might as well use a regular paint brush with all the streaking. Messy use and clean up.

In painting a room recently, I did a comparison between this [red] paint edger and a similar Behr edger. They are the same size, and both feature a nylon pad (1st attached photo) and 2 wheels intended to keep paint off of the ceiling or baseboard (3rd photo). Of the two, this one worked better for me, due to (1) the adjustable handle (2nd photo) and (2) the fact that the wheels are thinner, better housed, and less prone to picking up paint. The 3rd attached photos show the 2 edgers after each one was used to edge 2 walls. This edger did not pick up paint on the wheels, while the Behr edger did, and hence left paint marks on the ceiling. So, I switched to exclusively using this edger.
