I am a watercolor painter and these fit all of my brushes perfectly. Not sure how well it would fit for larger brushes, but smaller brushes fit great.

This is a hard ridgid box with two clamps to keep it closed. It is long enough to hold long handled brushes. It has plenty of room to hold lots. I am using it for watercolor brushes. It has two foam separators it keep things in place. I don’t use those. It’s great for traveling because it can’t accidentally come open and it can’t bend. It is sort of transparent so you can see what’s inside. It was an excellent value for the price.

I like how this has compartments and can hold my long brushes. The clasps seem strong and the case is a heavy material, no flimsy going on here. My new traveling art companion!

I use glass straws for my 40 oz Stanley tumbler. I've been looking everywhere on Amazon for a hard plastic case that was long enough for the straws but also not too wide. This case met both my needs.I do wish it was about 1 - 2 inches shorter and that the dividers were plastic instead of foam, but I know I'm using the case in an alternative way since I'm not storing paintbrushes.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. It's a sturdy, well made case.

We were going on vacation and I wanted to bring along my watercolors. My only concerns were keeping my brushes nice, especially since I’d just invested in a handful of more expensive Princeton brushes. It comes with foam inserts that are not stuck down, but you certainly can do that if you like. I preferred mine “loose” bc it allows me to move it up or down depending on my needs. I was pleasantly surprised with the capacity of this box! It carried all of the brushes I wanted to take (plus a few extras I stacked on top of each other - the “smaller” ones sizes 0 - 12) and then my 1” flat, 1” angled, and mop brush in their own spot at the end. I got the large size so I still had extra room at the end. I was able to put my tape, rubber cement eraser, and kneaded eraser all there in the box with my brushes. The best part? Nothing moved from its spot! When we arrived to our first destination 14 hours later down the road, they were exactly where I’d placed them when we left. As a matter of fact, on this 10 day trip of constantly moving the tote bag this box was in (oriented in the bag tall/up & down), and getting jostled around going down the road (we were in our camper), you’d never know they’d left a stable, non-moving table top! lol Seriously, they did not move!! Yes I was surprised. I figured with the road vibrations they would slip and scoot around some, but not at all. And that’s exactly what I was looking for. It also latches well and doesn’t come open easily, so no fear of it popping open in its own either. And I love that it’s clear so I can see everything inside at a single glance. I’ll find a use for it now that we are home too, bc it’s just so useful. One of those things you never knew you needed until you have it! :) Hope this helps someone out if your thinking about getting one of these. This one is fabulous. I have zero complaints!

Longer than I expected, the foam pieces don’t have anything to stick them down in the case they are just loose. The snap is a thin clasp piece so don’t know how long it’ll last.Seems like it will work for my needs.

November 2023- I invested in some nice long-handle flat brushes (small to medium size ) and these boxes keep them in shape. The foam inserts do a great job of keeping them from moving around in transit. I bought two and would buy more if I ever need them. I have some of the soft cases, but I do like these for my favorite brushes because I feel like they are more secure.January 2025- have now bought several. Best option I have found so far. My painting friends have also bought some so now it is harder to tell them apart. I guess I picked a good one!
