I sell jewelry on Etsy and these are perfect for shipping. The padding is great and top flap sticks well. I do tape the top flap when I ship, just cause I'm a touch OCD. It's not really needed. Have reordered many times and always pleased.

The size is just right for putting in little charms or something else small. The padding is pretty thick, but it can still be sent as a large first class mail envelope as long as you don't put anything thick into it. The seal is perfect and all my mailers arrived at their destinations (through USPS) intact.

Don't get me wrong, for the price you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal. These are solid envelopes with a degree of bubble packaging to them that provides some protection to the package inside. But it's pretty thin and the packaging is tight, it's tough to get anything oversided to fit in there. I'm using them for shipping trading cards, which works well, but more than that thickness would be tough.
