These winders already have twine wrapped on them. I cut the twine off so I can use these to wrap up short lengths of 14-gauge wire like that used for audio speakers. These winders are small. They fit in the palm of your hand. That makes them ideal for my application. You get ten. I needed five, so I have five spares. Good value.

Actually, these are used to spring a humane trap to catch several feral cats at one time, so they can be spayed/neutered, given their shots, any medical attention they need and returned to their home to live out the rest of their lives in peace.

Bought these to go with some homemade kites for our children's activity group at church. The cord was more than strong enough to stand up to the abuse inflicted on it by 8 rowdy 8-11 year-olds.It could have been a bit longer... another 10 feet would have helped the kites fly better as they performed better at higher altitudes.

Mini is very accurate. I picked these up thinking I could use them to wind 20 gauge wire and they're really flimsy and small. I wouldn't fly a kite with them that's for sure. Not good for much.

In our coop we made kites out of jumbo trash bags and used these and they worked great!
