The shelf itself is not very sturdy. It wobbles and shifts easily from side to side, just by shifting it or placing something upon it. I don’t know whether it can hold much weight or even if it can hold the weight that is stated it can. However, it works for the need I have for it.

I’m happy I purchased this for my locker at work. I’m able to keep it more organized now. Although I don’t have to place anything too heavy on it, I can tell it’s still pretty sturdy.

I know that this is typically used in student's lockers to give them another shelf to help with organization and storage. It will certainly work for this purpose. I use it at my desk at work to provide a shelf for my projector. It's very slim and made of metal which works for my purposes. It's not super sturdy, but it is sturdy enough for my purposes.
