This does a great job picking up lint and dust, does not leave any residue behind.Very similar to lint rollers for clothes, never knew a product like this was around but glad I now have it.

Works very well to get the dust off of records before playing. Just a few quick rolls around the record is good to go.

Nothing works better than this Viscous Silicone Cleaning Roller to get dust off of new records and records that are in good shape. When new this roller is extremely tacky and will take off all dust off with one rollover. After cleaning this roller with plain cold water dry it with compressed canned air. These rollers last about five to six months and then need to be replaced.

I DO NOT use this on my records. I use it on the platter of my turntable to clean it prior to setting the record down. Works fine for this. The stickiness is reduced significantly after the first rinse, but it still works well enough.

I’m a sucker for vinyl cleaning tools, have bought everything imaginable. When used carefully, This may be the best. I’ll explain what I mean by carefully. This roller is pretty sticky and will grab and hold almost all the dirt and dust on your record. If you happened to have a large solid piece of dirt, this thing will pick it up and roll it over the record potentially putting numerous scratches into your record. I would never use just the roller. What I do 1st Is use a soft bristle brush to remove anything sitting on top the surface. Just a quick go around the whole surface. Then I use this roller. It gets down in the grooves, pulling out dust, hair etc. After I’m done using it, i give it a quick rinse (it dries pretty fast) removing all debris from the rolling surface, and put it back in its protective cover to keep airborne dust from landing and accumulating over time. I have a bright light I use to inspect the grooves, and have never had any damage done by this. If you have valuable vinyl that you care for and want to keep in top condition, and don’t mind spending a little extra time to achieve this, I’d recommend this as a 2 part cleaning system. If you’re playing a worn out thrift store find, and don’t want to take all the time to carefully use this, a simple brush would probably be a better option.

I use this to take up the dust that my carbon brush lines up for me if a record is particularly stubborn or dusty. I've also used this to try and avoid wet cleaning a record in the sink, but that isn't really what it's useful for in my opinion. This is an excellent compliment or replacement for a carbon brush, and it's nice that you can just rinse it off (I've rinsed mine in both cold and hot water about 10 times these past two weeks) and there is really no drop in performance.

Its nice for Records maybe, But I bought it for CDs...Its not very sticky compared to the regular lint rollers, Which is what bought after I bought this...The cheap fold out lint rollers(Washable) Work Great for CDs

I use this mostly to take the dust off my record mats more so than to clean the vinyl records. I have a 5 step deep cleaning method that I use on dirty records for deep cleaning and I use a carbon fiber brush before and after play...I like the design of this cleaner roller and its better built than the rollers used for delinting clothing. Its also not as sticky. For me and my use its better that way because it doesn't take the cork off my mats. I also like the case it comes with very neat and compact. I'm not sure it will really get deep into the groves for those of you thinking of using it for record cleaning. Maybe if you press really hard on a stable surface it would get deeper into the groves...Sounds like a really serious situation to me...Of course a five step cleaning method involving a vacuum and steam cleaner is probably not something to take lightly either...
