This unit is not worth the financial investment that they ask for.The two extractor fans are not powerful enough to prevent airbrush spray mist from blowing back out, which is a health risk for the user.I am planning to replace the two extractor fans with something with more power.

This spray booth is extremely well built. It will outlast pretty much every other spray booth you're considering.

This Paasche Spray Booth is efficient, works as desired, and is a good value for the investment. It’s easy to assemble and after a year’s use, has continued to perform flawlessly. If I have any criticism, it’s that there is no light associated with the spray booth, so it’s necessary to have it set up in a well lit area.

I just started using my new paint booth a couple of days ago and it's well worth the money. The booth is roomy enough for most everything I'd need to paint in it. The fan is powerful without being overly noisy, and the stainless steel booth is easy to clean after a paint session - just take a cloth dampened with mineral spirits and wipe it clean! My only nit to pick is that there isn't a light source inside. For now I've got a lamp clamped to the upper lip pointed in, but I'd be inclined to attach an LED strip on the inside upper wall.

I just purchased this unit. It is sturdy. I have it ducted and vented to the outside in a commercial space. I use it to spray fine art adhesives, fixatives, and aerosolized paints on small objects. I can attest that the unit will NOT remove large amounts of fine aerosol overspray from a paint spray canister. The manufacturer also states this very clearly in their literature that is included in the product (this is not mentioned on Amazon or on the manufacture's website). To some degree, one can mediate the amount of "lost" overspray entering into your work spay by carefully controlling the speed and the amount of spray that is released from the can. I think this unit is primarily geared towards hobbyist who will use it in a residential workspace. The fan is very quiet, but that also means it is not very powerful—hence the "lost" overspray that isn't drawn into the filters. I would have preferred a much more powerful fan in this unit (with higher CFM air volume) with more noise.Again, the HSSB-22 is not a terrible unit; however, the potential buyer should pay careful attention to the expected usage volume. Paasche also manufactures a tabletop commercial unit—but, it is four times the cost.

I have struggled for years to resolve my airbrush station needs - place to contain the spray and vent to outdoors. I have usually rigged something up with a fan which hasn't been sturdy, durable or all that effective. I had resisted buying a booth because they seem awfully expensive to me for what seems like duct work and a bathroom exhaust fan, but decided to give one a try and after my research, selected this one.I opted for the smaller Paasche metal unit. I, of course, wanted the larger one, but I simply could not justify paying nearly $200 more for 8 more inches. But if I were say, a ship modeler, I might need that, but once this one arrived, it's perfectly sized for my needs.I have Amazon Prime and opted to get same day delivery for $5.99 so this arrived about 6 hours after I ordered it. A nice bonus of Prime membership. Mine arrived opened which put me on alert, but nothing was missing and didn't appear tampered with so I began assembly. The instructions provided were not for my unit, but were easy enough to follow expect for one piece of key info. When attaching the vent collar, the instructions said the fan was mounted with the vertical screws so don't remove those. I interpreted vertical screws to be the north and south screws and so I removed the east and west screws and the motor fell off. Nice! It took a little effort to reattach without having to take the walls off. I double checked the instructions and even the diagram points to which screws to remove which were in fact the ones I removed. I find incorrect instructions annoying. But again, the instructions I received weren't for the unit I purchased (still a problem).Self-locking nuts are a nice touch, it went together (except for the fan incident) smooth like soft butter. I attached a few photos and there are a few gaps, but I suspect the fan will remove the overspray before it gets down into the corners. The unit has an on/off switch on the cord, another nice touch. It draws well even through 3 layers of filters. The filters just stuff in there, they don't actually attach. After assembly, I did the candle test and I would say the fan quickly removed about 90%-95% of the smoke. A little bit drifted toward me away from the fan. The candle was placed in the center, but spraying farther back will allow the fan to do its thing.I purchased another maker's exhaust kit and as I feared, almost none of the sizing was compatible. I was able to use the window piece as pictured. The vent collar which mounts on the unit is included, the dryer vent and exhaust kit are not included. The fan is a little loud, but doesn't bother me a bit. I think my compressor is louder. I find almost no vibration in the unit was is very nice! The workable width is 22", 16" height tapering off. From the front of the unit to clearing the vent hose is about 32". I have a picture of a popular model box in the unit to help give perspective. What prevents me from giving this 5 stars is there is no thought to installing lightning. There are no holes that can be used for either installing a light bar or hanging objects to be sprayed. There is also no opening on either side to run an electrical cord from say, a light bar. I think these needs should have been anticipated and planned for. Overall, happy with purchase and off to drill some holes on my own!

Love it. It's reasonably quiet and draws lots of bad air out of my workspace. The construction is very durable and should last me a long long time. The only flaw in the design is the exhaust elbow is very large and pushes the unit 4 inches away from the back wall, a much slimmer design (oval perhaps) would be a great improvment.
