This kit comes complete with dust mask, 6' braided hose and 6 ounces for fast cutting compound. The air eraser can be used anywhere an abrasive is required to delicately erase; such as decorative etching on glass. Can also be used by the professional technician, manufacturer, hobbyist or for dental lab work, erasing color, and removing rust. Requires a compressor 1/3 HP or larger that can deliver up to 70 PSI.

This will blow substrate on your part with good force, but the nozzle clogs incredibly easily. The substrate backs up into the trigger, locking it in place, and requires disassembly and dry-running to clear after about five minutes of operation. The hopper is held on by about 1/8th of a turn of the threads and doesn't create an airtight seal. There needs to be an excessive amount of force imposed on that short track of aluminum threads to get a good seal. I fear the next time I have to take it off that the hopper's threads will be too stripped to reattach. This airbrush is infuriating to use.

This Paasche air eraser is designed to delicately erase. Ideal for arts and crafts abrading paper, metal, and glass as well as rust removal using abrasive compounds like aluminium oxide and it works well.I bought it to clean up fossils which it does admirably. The small reservoir cup doesn't hold much media. For bigger jobs consider its big brother the Paasche Remote Air Eraser which has a much larger and remote container for media.

I bought this to etch metal and glass (instead of the glass etching cream) and it works really well. It doesn't have the power to lift a vinyl stencil but can still put a very good frosting on clear glass or a durable etch onto brass. This makes it great for stenciling designs onto glass/metal objects.

Nice little handheld blaster, easy to use. It does clog very easily though.

I have been using this to remove rust and nickel plating from an 140 year old antique revolver that is in very rough shape. The fast cutting compound works very well. I run 60-70 psi and it takes a little patience to get the abrasive media flow control set just right. Working 1/4" or so from surface provides about an 1/8" round blast area and control is very good. It took me hours and countless tank refills to do the first rough blast. I used most of a 5 pound container. Use outdoors with provided face mask or buy benchtop sandblast cabinet for indoor use. Initial trigger push causes a bigger blast of abrasive and abrasive flows for a moment once trigger is let off. Because of this I just run the full hopper of abrasive until empty for best control. Pulsing trigger on and off helps remove the more stubborn stuff but empties very quickly. You need a good air compressor with air dryer for it to work properly. Airbrush compressors will not work. Most of the negative reviews and comments about these are because of insufficient air source and not using a quality air dryer (I use two).Baking soda can be used if dry but it's a very mild abrasive. It's ok for cleaning a small area but don't expect quick results. If baking soda is not working for you it's likely the wrong abrasive for your job. The sandblast media for the full size sandblasters will not work well in these unless you filter out the larger particles over 100 micron. It's ok for rough blasting but for fine work the proper micro sandblast media is best. It did take some time to set up properly and figure out its limitations but I'm very happy with my air eraser.

Disappointed in this product. I purchased it for glass etching. Each time that I refill the cup, it stops working and I have to take several minutes to readjust the cap and the control screw on top. The cup isn't that big, so I'm constantly doing this. In this process, I'm losing a lot of the etching medium. I haven't been able to find any trouble shooting information.

This sand blaster is very good. I personally use mine for etching glass, plastics, and stainless steel. The flow rate of abrasive can be adjusted, which is nice for finer detail, or larger areas. The cup mounted on top holds plenty of abrasive for finer items, however for doing larger objects, or multiple items, it would be nice to have a larger reservoir. I personally upgraded to the Paasche AECR which has a remote line and a large quart size reservoir which it feeds from. This sprayer has a solid build construction, and is easy to disassemble for cleaning, or to replace the nozzle. The button on top has a nice feeling to it, not too soft, but very easy to depress for long periods. The included hook is a nice touch, makes hanging it on the wall or at your work bench possible. The mask is like any other dust mask, cheap. For best results, use this sprayer in a ventilated area, or better yet, have a dedicated blasting cabinet so you can collect and reuse the abrasive compound. If my sprayer were to break, and I don't think it ever will, I would be buying another one of these.

Great airbrush for etching glass or metal. Used this to customize 6 flasks for my fellow groomsman and saved a fortune, now doing custom etched glasses for Father's Day gifts. Used wife's cricket machine to cut stencils out of shelf paper for letters and free handed some other designs. I'm no artist, but a little practice and you can do cool things with this tool. Thread on the airbrush hose works with standard compressor fittings, so no need for a dedicated compressor. Connected a inline air dryer(12$ at lowes) and was up and running without a hitch, just make sure to set your pressure to 40ish psi. I also built a diy blasting chamber with a 10$ clear storage tote from Lowes to keep the powder from going everywhere.

Excellent, have used these for years, they last about 8 to 10 years then I replace them. The tip is small and great forvery small areas, can be controlled easily. Have used 50 micron aluminum oxide media with good success. Cleans small areas of metal well, removes rust prior to new finish. Just needs to be a small area as this is not intended for larger surfaces.

Product wasn't working correctly after a few uses but a call to Paasche customer service had me speaking with an amazing customer service rep who walked me through taking it apart, cleaning it out and reassembling. Has worked perfectly since then and I do abuse it somewhat. Should I have any other problems, I now know how to clean it and I also know there is great customer service if I need it

I do not know what this products intended use is but I bought it for one specific purpose, etching glass. For this it works great. It sprays a nice even pattern that produces excellent results on glass. This little gun will not etch large panels effectively because it sprays a very small pattern but if you are doing small detail work it's perfect. It comes with everything you need to get started if you have an airbrushing compressor. If you are using a normal home shop air compressor you will need a 1/4" quick coupler, which will screw right onto the end of this hose. The mask that is sent is useless, probably the cheapest mask I have ever seen and I wouldn’t trust my lungs to it, so you might want to pick up a box of better dust masks somewhere. It also comes with a small amount of blasting media that worked great. However, if you purchase more from this company it is EXPENSIVE. Any fine or extra fine blasting media will work, course media will not work in this unit, but I have had good luck using 100 grit or finer. I did not buy this set for the mask or expensive media, I bought it for the gun, and because the gun is great it gets five stars.
