Custom Manufactured US Shelby Can Openers
Our US Shelby Stainless Steel Can Openers are specially manufactured just for us conforming to US Government Issued Specifications.
We use Stainless Steel for our Can Openers so they will not rust and have excellent durability. They are dishwasher safe and will open normal sized food cans.
The holes in the openers will fit a 2.4mm ball chain or a split ring key chain. Just like issued in the US military.
How to use US Shelby Can Openers
PIERCE CAN LID - Place the notch of the US Shelby can opener on the rim of the can with the blade inside the rim and puncture the lid of the can
TURN AND TWIST - Twist the opener up and down while turning the can
KEEP GOING - Repeat twisting while turning the can
LID IS SHARP - Be careful removing the lid. The lid will be sharp
Wash it after every use!
It's ok if it touches water and soap!
Remember, our US Shelby can openers are made from Stainless Steel and they won't rust!
How to Close the Ball Chain
Put the ball into the connector and pull both sides of the chain away from the connector until the ball ‘snaps’ into place.
These are really tough USA made stainless steel ball chains so sometimes it takes a good tug for it to snap into place.

one design ever. unchanging perfection. still safer and easier to use than the bulky ones with less mess. rust resistant is always a plus. easy opening and easy to adjust if it swings away like a continental soldier. very durable

i bought these for myself and ended up having to buy more as gifts for my ex-military buddies. i carry the P38 in my wallet and have the P50 in a catch all bag that goes fishing and camping with me. i've never had an issue with rust on these i'm pretty sure that are making them out of better steel these days. the design hasn't changes since they were first produced which is a testament to the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." one thing about the 38 however is in the winter it is a bit harder to use if you are in a situation that keeps you from taking off your gloves.

Works just like my military grade one! Very sharp and gets through cans easily. And they are easy to sharpen as well!

My father is an army vet, honorably discharged because of an eye injury. He had two that we left after we got evicted, a and I felt so bad, so I ordered him these. They can't replace the memories attached to the others, but oh well. Life goes on

This worked for about 10 cans before the blade started to bend outward and the hinge over extended when open. It is probably best to keep unused in a kit where it may only be needed rarely.

Got my P-38’s today tried it out it worked great. Tried to show my granddaughter how to use it but she hasn’t got the hang of it yet, but she has very bad eyesight. She will get it after a few more try’s.
