Small Auto & Revolver; 7" Length: A true mom and pop family operation, Big Spring Enterprises began making their popular and affordable Bore Stores soft gun storage cases on the family's kitchen table in the rural Ozark Mountains in 1985. Today, they have grown their operation while still holding fast to the principles of hand-made quality and small town values. Bore Stores soft gun storage cases are individually cut, sewn and treated with silicone and a specially-formulated rust inhibitor for years of worry-free storage for all sizes and types of firearms; as well as barrels, magazines and knives. The company takes great pride in purchasing all of their manufacturing needs in the United States.

I love BoreStores. I've been a customer of theirs for well over a decade now, and I curate some pretty important historic arms collections in Bore Stores. The short of it: the protect the gun from dings and knocks that inevitably happen in a gun safe, and they do a great job of wicking away condensation.

I've been using Bore Stores cases for nine years, primarily P-2 and P3 models. I consider them a utility case, not a 'presentation' case. They're especially good for protecting firearms when transporting, maximizing storage space in a safe, or keeping them readily accessible in the house. (But of course they're not used as secured storage.) Many pistols fit in the P-2 case, with the P-3 picking up the slack for those with extended barrels or grips, or large frame revolvers with less than 5" barrels. (I should note that pertains to pistols without accessory attachments, although some pistol/accessory combinations do work in the P-2 and P3.)I went to buy some more last year only to find out the family business had suspended operation. Then three weeks ago I discovered the Bore Stores line had been picked up by GT Outdoors. I ordered five immediately since I consider them the best value for the price. When the order arrived, two cases had inadvertently been omitted from the order. I contacted GT to let them know. They acknowledged the problem, shipped out the two missing cases the next business day, and the package arrived two days later. A very prompt correction. So good luck to GT Outdoors and the Bore Stores line. It's good to see an American made product sustained by a 'local' American company.

These are the handiest pistol protection you can buy- they fit like a glove, take up less space in your safe, and protect the pistol from rust. Nothing better for the money.

I really hope these work because I use them for all my guns now! Doubt I'll have any problems at all though -- this is made of moisture wicking material treated with silicone. Avoid using traditional cotton gun socks because cotton retains moisture.Great way to tag, organize, and store guns. I still coat the guns in a thick coat of oil before they go in the Bore Stores just as a second precaution. I like the labels on them -- avoids having to open each one to find the one you want or leave part of the gun hanging out for identifying purposes.NOTE ON SIZING!: The P-2 is going to be the correct size for most guns, trust me. So far, I've personally seen the P-2 be the correct size on Sig P226/P229, Sig SP2022, M&P9/45/Shield 9mm, HK45/VP9/P30L/P30SK, G17/19/21, Beretta 92FS, and a S&W 1911 full size. The P-3 is very long and good for a 6"+ barrel revolver, but it's too big for pretty much any standard semi-auto except perhaps an HK Mark 23. The P-1 is tiny -- good for a small revolver like a J-frame, but even a Shield won't fit it in it because it's too tall. Sounds crazy that an HK45 is the same size as a Shield, but I promise I'm correct! All in all very happy and I have a few extra P-2's around because I know I'll need one for the next purchase. So far rust-free (knock on wood) and keeps the pistols safely protected from hitting each other; I also buy them for my rifles. I've been using them for about two years now, fwiw. Will DEFINITELY update if there's any rust issues, but between the good oil, the Bore Store, and several silica jars, I should be fine.

This is the perfect size for single stack 9mm or Commander 1911. It still some room (1/2”) leftover in both length and width. It also has a soft lining on the inside to protect from scratches. These work just like a gun sock, they have silicone imbedded in them. It just doesn’t snag on things like a sock.I’ve now bought one for all of my guns. And now my safe looks a little more organized. I would recommend these to anyone that’s looking for a good gun sock.

I bought this for my M&P 9mm Shield..Fits perfect and looks to be made of good quality materials. Only slight thing I do not like is the furry inside material..Gets fuzzies on my beautiful gun...But for what it is and what it is used for it is perfect so I can live with the fuzzies.

The P-2 size is perfect for a snub nose revolver or similar sized firearm. Because there has been some confusion about which size should be ordered I'm including a picture of a size P-1 with a Taurus TCP 'pocket pistol' and the P-2 with a Taurus 'Protector Poly' 38 Special with 2 inch barrel. The TCP is a tight fit in the P-1 with the magazine extension but still goes in easy. The revolver is a perfect fit for the P-2.As you probably know, keeping your firearm in a leather holster will dry out the oils and trap moisture, these silicone gun socks are perfect for storage while still providing quick access when your not carrying.

Based on reviews alone, sight unseen, I bought FOUR of these for my little handgun collection. All of the following fit in the P-2:Bersa Thunder 380 (loose fit, but tuck right down into the pointy end)Bersa Thunder 22LR (ditto; it's the same frame as the 380)Smith & Wesson 63 (22LR stainless "kit" gun; loose fit, but it tucks right down into the pointy end)Glock 19 (fits like a glove, I mean GLOVE) Got a Glock 19? I know you do. Buy this. The synthetic pile inside is MUCH MUCH thicker than I thought it would be, so it's no problem stacking guns 2-high on the shelves in my safe without risking scratching the finishes. I leave the Glock 19 on top with a loaded mag and the flap tucked-in. I'm guessing y'all can figure-out why.Great design, good price, family company, and made in the USA. Arrived in Houston less than 48 hours after I ordered them from Amazon.Plus, the space I saved in the gun safe makes room for a couple more.Any suggestions?
