I admit to being a bit obsessed with researching purchases of goods that I need. I spent a fair amount of time searching for a decent turkey baster and settled on one that got good review and included a valve to keep the liquid from flowing out. That baster leaked like a sieve and honked whenever I squeezed the bulb. I have other OXO products that have all been top notch, and this baster is no exception. Just for the hell of it, I squeezed the bulb (no noise at at, much less a neighbor-rousing honk) and stuck the baster to my finger. After one full minute not one bit of air had made it back into the bulb. Impressive, most impressive. If you need a baster, this is the one.

This is a great baster. The markings are so easy to read. It comes apart for cleaning and is easier to clean than a regular basting bulb. It is sturdy. I like it even better than the baster I had for 55 years!!

Like the suction etc. Holds the fluid well without any dripping.However, I had trouble with cleaning it as I couldn't take the bulb off to clean with the cleaning brush.

I have had other basters, this one is the best. The suction bulb is sturdy and quickly fills the tube. I use it every day in the greenhouse for watering small pots and individual plants. other basters have good tubes and are easy to clean too but they suffer from poor suction caused by weak bulbs, this one is strong made of thicker rubber(?) which makes it rel;iable and responsive. I'm very happy with it.

Really affordable and works well, but beware any plastic baster. If you're basting in something hot and go too far down and touch the vessel you're cooking in, the plastic will gradually warp and melt (as expected) and then stuff can get stuck and make it hard to baste. Had this for years but now have to look into a non-melting alternative. Maybe glass? Metal you can't see through. We'll see.

This turkey baster is sturdy, and works well for a number of purposes. I bought to clean a dirty clogged tube that drains the refrigerator and it is perfect. Since then I have used it to remove too much water from the saucer of an overwatered plant, sucked up a spill I couldn't get to easily with a towel. I guess the sky's the limit on the things that this baster will work for. The brush included makes it easy to clean. The size of the squeeze bulb makes it easy to control how much fluid you are sucking up. It's great, and I will never be without it again.
