I’ve used the OXO herb keeper for storing basil on my kitchen windowsill (basil does not like refrigeration) and I swear it’s been over a week and the basil is still going strong. I’ve changed the water once but amazingly the basil looks like I just bought it.

I like to keep fresh parsley, cilantro, and scallions on hand. After shopping, I trim the ends off the herbs, pop all three together into the container, add water and I'm good to go. Everything's still in good shape after a week. Generally, I've used them all by that time and replenish.

Trust me you need one! My Inner señora is so happy with this purchase. 4 clinato bushes fit perfectly not all squashed together, Like I had in my wide mouth mansion jar. Containers is slim it take less space. I left the lid open so I won't crush the leaves though.

I really love this thing. I used it for parsley and was delighted with my success. The parsley sat outside the refrigerator for six day and stayed fresh. The refrigerator didn’t work. But cilantro only lasted two and a half days. I haven’t tried any other herbs but I’m happy with my parsley results. Not sorry I bought it.

The bin is perfectly sized to fit an entire pack of organic carrots from Costco (the long kind, not the baby ones). And they stay fresh and crisp in there longer than storing them in reused plastic salad packages lined with paper towels (which was our previous method). We also use them to store grapes and they work well for that too. The dividers are a nice option, although we haven’t had a situation where there was just enough of 2 different items to fit in that half space. One thing though, these are kind of a hassle to wash because it’s easy to splash water all over the place when spraying water on it, but you can just put them in the dishwasher. But I hate putting plastic in the dishwasher, especially if it’s not very dirty, so next time I might just wipe it off with a paper towel and a food-safe spray cleaner.
