I got nothing resembling a green notebook here. The description says 2 of each colour, and I got 4 blue, 2 red. I bought the colour coded ones for a reason. Otherwise, I could have just purchased 6 black books.The books themselves are fine - but please don’t advertise one thing and send something else.

I mostly can't complain about basic composition notebooks. These, however, are just a tad flimsy and tend to hold whatever shape their bent into.This wouldn't be noticeable if I was using them strictly at a desk, like a normal person. However, some of my classes involve taking hand written notes on the move, and folding over the front has bent two of the covers out of shape.

Overall, I am happy with the notebooks. I color code for specific subjects, so the tri-color variety notebooks help with subject recognition and overall organization of our homeschool supplies/tools. For some reason, I expected hardcovers. Therefore, I was a little disappointed initially. However, the flexibility of the softer cover allows the notebooks to bend easily during deskwork and storage, which is a great benefit. I don't know how strong the binding string is since I haven't ripped out any pages yet. However, I would not recommend pulling out pages haphazardly since the overall softness and flexibility of the notebook does not seem to be as taught and sturdy as the traditional, hardcovered notebooks.
