I only use oxbow food for my pets and my hamsters absolutely love this blend. I don't feel like the bag is full enough and it is a bit pricey for the amount you get but I continue to buy it for the quality and ingredients to keep my pets healthy.
Works awesome

I can't tell you about the quality or taste, but the girls seem to love it! The value can't be beat either! There is a slight smell to that of any kind of granular food, but it's not bad at all.

Arrived as promised. Fresh and it was a better cost than purchasing at a pet store

Flash loves this Oxbow food. And she's a fussy hamster! So it says a lot. Unfortunately finding this product in the stores has proven difficult, for whatever reason the only hamster food that I find by Oxbow is the round circular pellets, which Flash dislikesAnything by Oxbow is superb in quality and quantity. Reason for my rabbit being in the photo is he also enjoys this food although it's not recommended for rabbits. Peaches, mini-rex, only has a couple pellets.

In addition to having a Hamster and recently changing him from the regular Oxbow to this I buy $40 of Oxbow a month for my rats and have fed them nothing else thier entire lives. I've had the opportunity to try both lines of Hamster food along with the mouse/young rat and I have also bought this new blend (in rat formula) to add in to the regular Oxbow I feed my two mischiefs. So here is what I know from spending too much on my rodents:1. Oxbow can be dusty. I, no joke, use a metal strainer to shift out the rats food when I transfer it from the big storage bin to their food containers. If I did that with this food, aside from needing a mesh strainer, I'd end up with maybe 1/2 of what we started with.2. Oxbow is pet friendly. Here is where my BIG beef comes in. The rat version of this is in hefty pellets. The mouse/young rat is generously sized - larger than adult rat food which is in a lovely thumbnail-sized kibble. This stuff is crumbles. Think Grape Nuts, the tiny little pieces, and you're on the right track. I personally feel that this food is not sized properly and I that because of this it lends itself to waste, a thought that is supported by not only the dust/micro-crumbles that are left in the bowl and end up being thrown away but also by the increased amount of food being bought.3. Oxbow is a safe, high quality food. I didn't even research this before buying it, rat or hammy formula. I know I'm getting a solid product that is nutritionally balanced and trustworthy. This is something I repeat to myself frequently when I think of, what I consider to be, the frustrating issues this product has.Bottom line is that I'm still undecided if the extra cost and issues make this a better choice than the plain hamster formula. Hammy does seem to like this a bit more though. Picture shows the garden select (this product) against the regular Oxbow for hamsters.
